Effect Of Liuzijue Combined With Auricular Point Sticking On Preventing Postoperative Constipation In Elderly Patients With Hip Fracture

ObjectiveTo explore the effects of Liuzijue combined with auricular point sticking on preventing postoperative constipation in elderly patients with hip fracture,and the effect was evaluated by observing the patients’ first exhaust time,first defecation time,the constipation symptom score,the constipation quality of life score and the incidence of constipation.In order to provide clinical basis for reduce the incidence of postoperative constipation and improving the quality of life in elderly patients with hip fracture.MethodsFrom February 2021 to November 2021,the elderly hip fracture patients in Luoyang Bone-setting Hospital of Henan province(Henan Department of orthopedics hospital)were selected as the subjects.According to inclusion and exclusion criteria,64 patients who met the standard were randomly divided into experimental group(32 cases)and control group(32cases)by SPSS software.The control group was given basic orthopedic care and auricular plaster;Based on the control group,the experimental group was given the Liuzijue twice a day for 15 minutes each time.The intervention lasted for 9 days from 1 day before operation to 7 days after operation.After the intervention,the postoperative first exhaust time and the first defecation time of the two groups were compared;Total score and each item of constipation symptoms were compared between the two groups before intervention,3 days after operation,5 days after operation and 7 days after operation;After intervention,the incidence of constipation between the two groups was compared.Results1 Baseline comparisonThe general data(age,gender,occupation,education level and payment method)between the two groups were compared,and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05);The disease-related data(combined with basic disease,injured side,disease diagnosis,operation mode,anesthesia mode,operation duration,intraoperative bleeding and the use of analgesic pump)were compared between the groups,and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).2 First postoperative exhaust timeAfter the intervention,the first postoperative exhaust time of the experimental group(23.94 ± 3.90)was better than that of the control group(28.69 ± 5.14),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).But the results showed that the first postoperative exhaust time in the experimental group was not significantly earlier.3 First defecation time after operationAfter the intervention,the first postoperative defecation time of the experimental group(50.22 ± 14.93)was better than that of the control group(72.34 ± 22.55),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).4 Constipation symptoms4.1 Total score of constipation symptomsThere were significant differences in total score of constipation symptoms between the two groups before operation,3 days after operation,5 days after operation and 7 days after operation(P<0.05).4.2 Each item of constipation symptom score4.2.1 Defecation effort scoreThe comparison of defecation effort score before operation,3 days after operation,5days after operation and 7 days after operation displayed that the difference of group effect and interaction effect between the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05),and the difference of time effect was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.4.2 Score of falling,endless and distensionIn comparison of falling,endless and distension before operation,3 days after operation,5 days after operation and 7 days after operation displayed that the difference of group effect and time effect between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the difference of interaction effect was not statistically significant(P>0.05).4.2.3 Defecation frequency scoreThe comparison of defecation frequency scores before operation,3 days after operation,5 days after operation and 7 days after operation displayed that the difference of group effect,time effect and interaction effect between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.2.4 Abdominal distension scoreThe comparison of abdominal distension scores before operation,3 days after operation,5 days after operation and 7 days after operation displayed that the difference of group effect and time effect of the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the difference of interaction effect was not statistically significant(P>0.05).4.2.5 Defecation time scoreThe comparison of defecation time integral before operation,3 days after operation,5days after operation and 7 days after operation displayed that the difference of group effect,time effect and interaction effect between the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05).4.2.6 Stool character scoreThe comparison of stool character score before operation,3 days after operation,5 days after operation and 7 days after operation displayed that the difference of group effect and time effect between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the difference of interaction effect was not statistically significant(P>0.05).5 Incidence of constipationAfter the intervention,the incidence of constipation of the experimental group(16.67%)was lower than that of the control group(41.94%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionLiuzijue combined with auricular point sticking can short the first postoperative exhaust time,advance the first postoperative defecation time of elderly patients with hip fracture,improve the symptoms of constipation,and reduce the incidence of postoperative constipation.
