Objective1.To investigate the negative emotional problems of anxiety, depression, and the quality of life of middle-aged breast cancer patients;2.To explore the impact of cognitive behavioral combined with auricular point sticking intervention on anxiety, depression and quality of life of middle-aged breast cancer patients who received chemotherapy.Methods1.This is a quasi-experimental study.51 breast cancer patients who met the inclusion criteria were divided into the experimental group and the control group in accordance with the random number table.2.Patients in the control group were given health education focusing on the chemotherapy-related precautions, the upper limb function training methods, and guidance on preventing and identifying the occurrence of lymphedema promptly. The cognitive behavioral intervention was implemented on the experimental group on the basis of the daily education. The duration of the intervention was 12 weeks, once two week. The intervention process was mainly divided into three phases. The first stage is to identify the patients' irrational cognition and initially guide their positive thinking. The second stage is the reconstruction of patients' reasonable cognition and behavior intervention, the main purpose of which is to make patients learn to think positively. In the third stage, first of all, review the problems and solutions every time,so that they gradually learn to think positively.Auricular point sticking is in three stages.3.Intervention effect evaluation method Patients in the two groups were investigated by the general data questionnaire, the anxiety self-rating scale, the depression self-rating scale, and the breast cancer patient quality of life scale pre and post the intervention.4.SPSS 21.0 was used for data analysis.Descriptive analysis and independent sample t test,chi-square test and other methods were performed.P valueResults1.This study included 102 subjects,51 in the intervention group and 51 in the control group. In the process of intervention,2 cases in the intervention group and 1 case in the control group fell off.In the process of intervention, the age of non shedding intervention group was(50.08 ± 4.48)years old,and that of control group was(50.50 ± 4.80)years old. Before the intervention, there were no significant differences in the basic data of age, weight, marriage, income and condition between the two groups(P>0.05).2.Comparison of SAS scores before and after the intervention:independent sample t-test was used to compare the SAS scores of the two groups before and after the intervention. Before intervention, there was no significant difference in SAS standard score between the two groups(t=-1.350,P>0.05).Two independent samples t-test was used to analyze the difference of SAS scores between the two groups after the intervention. The results showed that the SAS scores of the intervention group were lower than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).The results showed that the SAS score of the intervention group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P>0.05).3.Comparison of SDS scores before and after the intervention:before the intervention, there was no significant difference between the two groups(t=1.279,P>0.05).Two independent samples t-test was used to analyze the difference of SDS scores between the two groups after the intervention. The results showed that the SDS scores of the intervention group were lower than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).The SDS scores of the two groups before and after the intervention were compared by paired t-test.The results showed that the SDS scores of the intervention group were significantly lower than that of the control group(P>0.05).4.Comparison of quality of life between the two groups before and after the intervention:there was no significant difference in the total score of quality of life and the scores of all dimensions between the intervention group(92.98 ± 8.40)and the control group(91.76±8.57)(P>0.05).After the intervention, the total score of quality of life and the scores of all dimensions in the intervention group were higher than those in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionsCompared with conventional nursing, cognitive behavior combined with auricular point sticking intervention strategy can improve the anxiety and depression of breast cancer patients during chemotherapy, and improve their quality of life. The intervention program is highly operable and can be popularized in cancer patients during chemotherapy.
