Objective:To explore the feasibility and effectiveness of acupuncture combined with "two points and four directions" exercise therapy in the treatment of acute lumbar sprain,so that provide an effective new method for relieving the symptoms of acute lumbar sprain faster and optimizing the treatment plan. Methods:A total of 68 patients with acute lumbar sprain who met the inclusion criteria were randomly selected and divided into an observation group and a control group, with 34 cases in each one.The observation group is put to use acupuncture combined with "two points and four directions" exercise therapy, and the control one just be in the acupuncture therapy. The general clinical data of the patients before treatment,as well as the changes of symptoms and signs before an after treatment, were recorded in detail, combined with the VAS pain score, the change of lumbar spine mobility, the evaluation of efficacy after the first treatment and after the end of the third treatment course and the recurrence rate after one month to be analyzed to evaluate the clinical efficacy of this treatment for acute lumbar sprain.Results:1.The baseline data,VAS pain score and lumbar range of motion of the two groups of patients were analyzed respectively before the treatment, and there was no significant difference(P>0.05),which was comparable.2.Comparison of VAS pain scores between the two groups before and after treatment: The VAS pain scores after the first and third treatment in the two groups were compared with those before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).In repeated measures,it was found that the time point and time point × grouping were all P<0.05;the inter-subject test P<0.05;the comparison of each time point, the VAS score between the observation group and the control group after the first and third treatment The scores are all significant.3.Comparison of lumbar range of motion between the two groups before and after treatment:the lumbar spine flexion and extension, left and right lateral flexion, and left and right rotation after the first and third treatment in the two groups were compared with those before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the time points at which the lumbar spine mobility was found in repeated measurements and the time points ×grouping were both P<0.05;the inter-subject test P<0.05;the comparison of each time point, between the groups after the first treatment and after the third treatment There were differences in the range of motion of the lumbar spine.4.Comparison of clinical efficacy between the two groups after treatment: after 3 days of treatment,13 cases in the observation group were cured,19 cases improved, the cure rate was40.63%,and the improvement rate was 100%;in the control group,6 cases were cured,27 cases improved, and the cure rate was 18.18 %,the improvement rate is 100%.After 2 test analysis, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).5.Comparison of follow-up results between the two groups after treatment: The subjects in the two groups were followed up after 1 month of treatment. There was 1 case of recurrence and2 cases of persistent pain in the observation group after treatment, with a recurrence rate of3.13% and a persistent pain rate of 6.25%.In the group,3 cases recurred,9 cases had persistent pain, the recurrence rate was 9.09%,and the persistent pain rate was 27.27%.After testing and analysis, the statistical results were different(P<0.05).Conclusions:Acupuncture combined with "two points and four directions" exercise therapy and acupuncture alone can improve the mobility of the lumbar spine, relieve lumbar pain, and restore the physiological function of the lumbar spine;acupuncture combined with "two points and four directions" exercise therapy can relieve lumbar pain.and improving the patient’s "forward flexion, backward extension, left and right lateral flexion, left and right rotation" activities are better than acupuncture alone;after 1 month of treatment, the recurrence rate and persistence of acupuncture combined with "two points and four directions" exercise The pain rate was lower than that of simple acupuncture.
