| ObjectiveTo observe the clinical efficacy by early wound incision combined with cupping therapy in the treatment of limb swelling in patients with fire-poison syndrome caused by snakebite and its influence on the levels of hs-CRP(Hypersensitive C-Reactive Protein)and histamine. So that to accumulate experience for the treatment of limb swelling after snakebite by giving play the characteristics of external treatment in traditional Chinese Medicine.Methods1.A total of 72 patients with fire-poison syndrome caused by snakebite who met the inclusion criteria and were admitted to The Affiliated People’s Hospital of Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were randomly divided into treatment group and control group.2.The control group was treated with routine treatment, and the treatment group was treated with cupping on the basis of routine treatment. The limb swelling degree, pain degree, histamine and hs-CRP levels of patients in the two groups were observed before treatment,on the 3rd and 7th day of treatment.3.Statistical software was used for comparative analysis, and then draw conclusions.ResultsA total of 72 cases were studied in this subject. There was no significant difference(P>0.05)in the general data, limb swelling degree, pain degree, histamine and hs-CRP levels between the two groups before treatment. The results and analysis are as follows:1.Limb swelling degree: After the two groups were hospitalized, the limb swelling continued to worsen and then gradually decreased.Intra-group comparison before and 7th day after treatment showed statistically significant differences(P<0.05),indicating that the limb swelling degree in both groups was alleviated after treatment compared with before treatment. The differences between the two groups were statistically significant on the 3rd and 7th day after treatment(P<0.05),indicating that the remission of limb swelling in the treatment group was better than that in the control group.2.Pain degree: After the two groups were hospitalized, the degree of pain decreased gradually with the treatment time.Intra-group comparison before and after treatment showed statistically significant differences(P<0.05),indicating that the pain degree of both groups was relieved after treatment compared with before treatment.Comparison between the two groups on the 3rd and 7th day after treatment showed statistical significance(P<0.05),indicating that the relief of pain degree in the treatment group was better than that in the control group.3.The level of Histaminel: After the two groups were hospitalized, the serum histamine level continued to rise, and then gradually decreased.Intra-group comparison before and 7th day after treatment showed statistically significant differences(P<0.05),indicating that the level of Histaminel in both groups were lower after treatment than before. The differences between the two groups were statistically significant on the 3rd and 7th day after treatment(P<0.05),indicating that the reduction of histamine level in the treatment group was better than that in the control group.4.The level of hs-CRP: Intra-group comparison before and 7th day after treatment showed statistically significant differences(P<0.05),indicating that the level of hs-CRP in both groups decreased after treatment compared with before treatment. There was no significant difference between the two groups on the 3rd day after treatment(P>0.05);comparison between the two groups on the 7th day after treatment showed statistical significance(P<0.05),indicating that the reduction of hs-CRP level in the treatment group was better than that in the control group.ConclusionEarly wound incision combined with cupping therapy can effectively reduce the swelling, pain and inflammatory factor levels of snakebite patients with fire-poison syndrome, and the curative effect is clear. There are no adverse reactions in the treatment process, high safety, and it has the advantages of convenience, cheapness and easy operation, which is worthy of clinical application. |
