Objective: Through investigation and research to understand the cognition,attitude and behavior of medical college students on COVID-19 vaccine and v accine-related knowledge,as well as the overall situation of vaccine vaccinati on and vaccine hesitation,analyze the COVID-19 vaccine hesitation and infl uencing factors of medical college students,and put forward policy suggestio ns on vaccine popularization and health education among medical college stu dents.It provides reference for health authorities and policy makers to better i mplement vaccination programs and improve vaccination services.Methods: Convenience sampling method was used to investigate the current situation of COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy among 3458 students in Guangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,and binary logistic regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of vaccine hesitancy.Results: 99.54% of the respondents have been vaccinated COVID-19 vaccine,and the proportion of vaccine hesitancy is 30.68%.The main reasons for vaccine hesitancy are complacency,contraindications to vaccination,and concerns about vaccine safety and efficacy,etc.Demographic variables and intrinsic risk perception variables of college students have significant effects on the vaccine hesitancy.Age [20-22 years : OR=0.557,95%CI(0.433,0.716),grade[senior grade: OR=0.691,95%CI(0.535,0.893)],political identity[ masses:OR=2.754,95% CI(1.585,4.785)],region [other provinces:OR=0.689,95%CI(0.581,0.818)],The risk level of the family’s location[medium and high risk area: OR=0.512,95%CI(0.355,0.741)],vaccination history[yes:OR=0.834,95%CI(0.701,0.991)],COVID-19 vaccine booster willingness [uncertain:OR=2.126,95%CI(1.332,3.392)] is the influencing factor of COVID-19 vaccination hesitation(P<0.05).Conclusion(s): Nearly 30% of respondents are COVID-19 vaccination hesitation,students are more likely vaccine hesitancy who aged 20 years old and below,senior grade,the masses,Guangxi,and permanent residence belong to low-risk areas,have no history of out-of-pocket vaccinations,and are unsure of COVID-19 vaccine booster willingness.Cognitive deviation should be corrected to improve risk perception;Strengthe n classified management,improve the effectiveness of publicity;Enrich the se cond class,strengthen health education;Improve information literacy and pre vent online rumors;Strengthen organization and mobilization,give play to lea ding demonstration;Good communication between home and school,forming joint work. |
