Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Shengyang Yiwei Decoction on the improvement of symptoms in patients with early Parkinson’s disease(spleen stomach qi deficiency type),and to explore its mechanism. Methods: 66 patients with Parkinson’s disease who met the inclusion criteria from November 2019 to January 2022 were collected.According to the method of randomization, the patients were divided into the control group and the treatment group by using SPSS26.0,with 33 cases in each group. The control group received conventional western medicine treatment, while the treatment group received Shengyang Yiwei Decoction on the basis of western medicine treatment.By observing the related scales of the two groups of patients:MDS Unified Parkinson’s Disease Comprehensive Rating Scale(MDS-UPDRS I &II & III),Traditional Chinese Medicine Symptoms(TCM)Scale,Parkinson’s Disease Non-Motor Symptom Evaluation Scale(NMSS),and record the changes in their scores, and the modified Hoehn & Yahr staging and serum TNF-αlevels were measured at the same time, and the conditions before treatment, after 4 weeks of treatment and after 8 weeks of treatment were compared and analyzed,so as to evaluate the clinical efficacy of Shengyang Yiwei Decoction.Results:(1)A total of 62 patients completed the trial according to the treatment plan,4 patients dropped out during the process.,and finally 31 cases in each of the two groups. There were no adverse reactions in the enrolled patients before and after treatment.(2)Comparison of scale scores: after treatment, the NMSS score,MDS-UPDRS I,II,III partial score and total score in the treatment group were significantly improved compared with those in the control group(P < 0.05 or P < 0.01);the improvement of TCM score in the treatment group was more significant than the control group(P < 0.05 or P < 0.01).The clinical efficacy of the two groups was evaluated by the TCM score reduction rate. The effective rate was 74.2% in the control group and 87.1% in the treatment group. The treatment group was significantly better than the control group(P < 0.01).(3)Comparison of modified H & Y staging: there was no significant difference in H & Y staging before and after treatment between the two groups(P > 0.05).(4)Comparison of serum TNF-α levels: after comparison, the serum TNF-αlevels in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P < 0.05 or P < 0.01).Conclusion: Shengyang Yiwei decoction combined with conventional western medicine has good curative effect and high safety for patients with spleen stomach qi deficiency in early PD.It can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of patients, especially the improvement of non-motor symptoms, reduce the inflammatory reaction of patients and make the level of TNF-αin their blood serum reduced.
