Clinical Observation Of Chaihu Guizhi Ganjiang Decoction In Treatment Of Type 2 Diabetes With Liver Depression And Spleen Deficiency

Objective:To observe and discuss the clinical efficacy and safety of Chaihu Guizhi Ganjiang Decoction in the treatment of type 2 diabetes with liver depression and spleen deficiency,and provide new methods for the prevention and treatment of type 2 diabetes with TCM.Methods:In this study,a total of 72 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with liver depression and spleen deficiency who were treated in the outpatient department and ward of the endocrinology department of the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2021 to September 2021 were collected and divided into treatment group and control group by using random number table.During the treatment,3 cases dropped out,69 cases were actually enrolled,33 cases in the treatment group and 36 cases in the control group.Both groups were given basic treatment,the control group was additionally given metformin tablets,and the treatment group was additionally given Chaihu Guizhi Ganjiang Decoction and metformin tablets.Both groups were treated for 8 weeks.The changes of curative effect evaluation before and after treatment in the two groups were observed and counted,including TCM syndrome score scale,DSQL scale,FPG,2hPG,HbAlc,FINS,HOMA-IR and related safety indicators.Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 25.0.Results:1.TCM syndrome score and curative effect:After treatment,the TCM syndrome scores were decreased,and there were statistical differences within the group before and after treatment(p<0.01).The treatment group was better than the control group(p<0.01).The total effective rate of TCM syndromes in the treatment group was 87.9%,and 63.9%in the control group.2.DSQL scale score:After treatment,both groups could reduce the scores of physiological function and psycho logical/spiritual aspects(p<0.05).The treatment group performed better than the control group in these 2 aspects(p<0.05).In terms of social relations and treatment dimensions,there was no statistical significance in the comparison between the two groups before and after treatment and between the groups after treatment(p>0.05).3.Glucose metabolism indexes:Compared with before treatment,both groups can significantly reduce FPG,2hPG and HbAlc(p<0.01).After treatment,compared between groups,the effect of treatment group is better than that in the control group(p<0.05).4.Insulin index:The intra-group comparison before and after treatment showed that both groups could significantly reduce the patients’FINS and HOMA-IR(p<0.01);and the effect of the treatment group was better than the control group(p<0.01).5.Inflammation index:Compared with before treatment,the treatment group can reduce the level of CRP(p<0.01),while the control group had no statistical significance before and after treatment(p>0.05).The difference between the two groups after treatment was significant(p<0.05).6.There was no obvious abnormality in the safety indicators of the two groups of patients before and after treatment.Conclusion:The use of Chaihu Guizhi Ganjiang Decoction in the treatment of type 2 diabetic patients with liver depression and spleen deficiency can relieve the clinical symptoms and TCM syndromes,improve quality of life,effectively reduce glucose,insulin resistance and other metabolic indicators.It also shows good safety in the clinical observation.
