Cultivated land is the resource and basic condition for human survival. It bears many functions such as food supply, ecological conservation and quality and energy cycle, and is the fundamental guarantee for food security and human sustainable development. With the development of economy and society,China’s cultivated land resources are facing a series of problems such as quantity reduction, quality reduction, soil pollution and ecological environment deterioration. Its scarcity and vulnerability are increasingly prominent. As a complex natural-artificial complex system, cultivated land system has many limitations, and external interference and destruction also hinder the sustainable development of cultivated land system.Resilience theory aims to improve the system’s ability to resist, adapt, recover and develop when dealing with interference, and provides a new way to solve the system’s response to internal and external interference. The development of cultivated land resources in Shanxi Province is faced with pressure and interference such as water and soil loss, drought and water shortage, ecological conversion, soil impoverishment and construction occupation. How to scientifically understand the ability of the cultivated land system in Shanxi Province to maintain the stable operation and transformation development of the system under external stress, and how to optimize the use of cultivated land is particularly important. Therefore, this paper selects Shanxi Province as the research object to carry out relevant research on the resilience of cultivated land in Shanxi Province and provide suggestions for the sustainable use of cultivated land resources in Shanxi Province. On the basis of systematically summarizing domestic and foreign literatures, this paper constructs the evaluation index system of cultivated land resilience in Shanxi Province by deconstructing the connotation of resilience and selecting 21 indicators from the "resistance-adaptation-reconstruction" of cultivated land system.Taking 117 counties(districts)in Shanxi Province as the research object, and taking the sectional data of 2010 and 2020 as the basic research data, this paper uses the entropy method to evaluate the cultivated land resilience in Shanxi Province. On this basis, the spatial agglomeration characteristics of cultivated land resilience in Shanxi Province were studied using Arc GIS and Geo Da software.Through the obstacle factor diagnosis model, the main obstacle factors affecting the cultivated land resilience of each county(district)in Shanxi Province are identified more deeply.Based on the situation of Shanxi Province and the results of quantitative analysis, targeted suggestions are put forward to improve the resilience of cultivated land in Shanxi Province. The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)The average cultivated land resilience in Shanxi Province was 0.3919 in 2010 and increased to 0.4314 in 2020,indicating that the cultivated land resilience in Shanxi Province was enhanced.Specifically, the three highest ranking prefecture-level cities in2010 were Shuozhou City,Linfen City and Yuncheng City, and there were 16 counties(districts)with high values of cultivated land resilience shown by the natural breakpoint aggregation results, and the contribution of "adaptability" in the contribution of cultivated land resilience criterion layer was low.The three prefecture-level cities with the highest ranking in 2020 were Shuozhou City,Xinzhou City and Datong City, and there were 39counties(districts)with high arable land resilience shown by the natural breakpoint aggregation results, and the contribution of "reconfigurability" was low among the contributions of the cultivated land resilience criterion layer.A total of 117 counties(districts)in Shanxi Province,102 counties(districts)increased the resilience of cultivated land,15 counties(districts)reduced the resilience of cultivated land,Zezhou County of Jinzhong City,Linyu County of Yuncheng City and Xiyang County of Jinzhong City fell out of the top 10 in the ranking of resilience values, and Yanggao County of Datong City,Pinglu District of Shuozhou City and Yuanlan County of Xinzhou City were among the top 10.(2)The global Moran’s I index value of cultivated land resilience in Shanxi Province was 0.3679 in 2010 and increased to 0.3925 in 2020,and the spatial distribution of cultivated land resilience in Shanxi Province showed a positive global spatial correlation, and the agglomeration effect gradually increased.Local spatial autocorrelation showed that the range of cultivated land resilience values in Shanxi Province was expanded, the range of "low-low agglomeration area" decreased, and the range of "low-high agglomeration area" and "high-low agglomeration area" decreased. In 2010 and 2020,the "insignificant" type of cultivated land resilience in Shanxi Province exceeded 80%,indicating that the spatial heterogeneity of cultivated land resilience in Shanxi Province was small.(3)The results of the diagnostic model of barrier factors showed that the "resistance" barrier of cultivated land resilience in Shanxi Province decreased, indicating that the indicator of "resistance" hindered the resilience of cultivated land in Shanxi Province less and less.In 2010,the obstacles to cultivated land resilience were mainly "adaptability" and "resistance",and in 2020 it changed to "adaptability" and "refactoring".According to the analysis of the frequency of obstacle factors in Shanxi Province, the main obstacles hindering the improvement of cultivated land resilience in Shanxi Province in 2010 and2020 mainly include per capita electricity consumption, primary industry output value, farmers’ disposable income, fixed asset investment, per capita GDP,proportion of secondary and tertiary industry output value, per capita grain sowing area and per capita total mechanical power.
