Since 2011,my country’s corn production has surpassed rice production in terms of output and has become the food crop with the highest total output, which has played an important role in ensuring my country’s food security. In the process of realizing the continuous increase of corn production, the input of chemical fertilizers has played a very important role. However, with the continuous increase of chemical fertilizer input, the excessive application of chemical fertilizer in the process of promoting the continuous growth of corn yield also leads to the prominent problem of non-point source pollution. In recent years,my country’s corn chemical fertilizer application has been showing an upward trend.By 2020,my country’s corn chemical fertilizer application intensity has reached 374.6 kg/hm~2,which is 1.66 times the safe level(225kg/hm~2)set by developed countries. It is higher, reaching 381.5 kg/hm~2,which is 1.70 times the safety upper limit level.Excessive application of chemical fertilizers will not only lead to a decline in the quality of agricultural products, but also cause serious pollution to the environment, leading to environmental problems such as eutrophication of water bodies. At the same time,it will cause irreversible damage to the soil, destroy the soil structure, cause soil acidification and hardening, and form saline-alkali land.In order to promote the popularization of scientific fertilization and ensure food security,it is necessary to study the reduction behavior of farmers from the perspective of the main fertilization farmers and analyze the influencing factors of farmers’reduction behavior of chemical fertilizers. On the basis of the analysis results, put forward Policy recommendations for farmers to fertilize scientifically and to standardize farmers’fertilization behavior. This is essential to achieve sustainable agricultural development and to prevent and control agricultural non-point source pollution. On the basis of the analysis results, put forward Policy recommendations for farmers to fertilize scientifically and to standardize farmers’fertilization behavior. This is essential to achieve sustainable agricultural development and to prevent and control agricultural non-point source pollution.Based on the research of domestic and foreign literature, this paper also systematically combs the theoretical basis of farmers’behavior theory, externality theory and sustainable development theory.Analyzing the application of chemical fertilizers, then through field research and designing questionnaires, descriptive statistical analysis is carried out according to the characteristics of farmers and their families, production and operation characteristics, chemical fertilizer application and cognition and application of agricultural technology, and a binary Logistic regression is constructed at the same time. The model conducts an empirical analysis on the reduction and application of chemical fertilizers of maize farmers in Northeast China. This research is divided into three parts and six chapters in total. The main content is the research background and significance, research content, theoretical basis and literature review. The second part contains three, four and five chapters, which are the core chapters of this paper. The main contents include:firstly analyze the current situation of corn production and chemical fertilizer application in Northeast China, mainly compare and analyze the current situation of corn production in Northeast China, the application intensity of chemical fertilizer, the application amount of chemical fertilizer, and the input of chemical fertilizer.Fertilizer application efficiency is described. Then, the descriptive statistical analysis of the chemical fertilizer reduction behavior of corn growers in Northeast China is carried out,and the individual and production and management characteristics of corn growers in Northeast China, the fertilizer application behavior and cognition of farmers in Northeast China, and the application of agricultural chemical fertilizer technology are analyzed by means of questionnaires.Statistical analysis of the situation shows that the current corn farmers in Northeast China are not very enthusiastic about reducing fertilizer application. Finally,an empirical analysis on the reduction of chemical fertilizer application behavior and its influencing factors of corn farmers in Northeast China is carried out.The results show that the interviewed farmers have low awareness of environmental pollution caused by excessive application of chemical fertilizers, and awareness of chemical fertilizer application amount and reduction policy.Insufficient, the proportion of reducing application behavior is not high.Through empirical analysis,it is found that the proportion of agricultural income has a negative impact on farmers’fertilizer reduction behavior, education level, understanding of chemical fertilizers, whether to use organic fertilizers, whether to join cooperatives and cognition of excessive fertilization, whether to reduce fertilizer application for environmental protection, and participation in agricultural fertilizer training have a positive impact on fertilizer reduction behavior. Finally, through empirical analysis results combined with descriptive statistical analysis results,a policy to promote farmers to reduce fertilizer application is proposed Suggestions include improving the cultural quality education of farmers, strengthening scientific fertilization propaganda, improving farmers’awareness of chemical fertilizers, establishing scientific fertilization awareness, vigorously promoting soil testing and formula fertilization technology, cultivating new farmers, improving relevant laws, standardizing the fertilizer market, and guiding The fertilizer market is developing healthily, and farmers are encouraged to use organic fertilizers.
