With the steady growth of my country’s economy and the rapid development of fisheries, the problem of marine fishery waste has become increasingly prominent. The management of marine fishery waste can not only reduce marine environmental pollution, protect marine ecology, but also promote the sustainable development of marine fisheries.Fishermen are not only the main body of marine fishery waste disposal, but also the victims of marine pollution.Their participation in marine fishery waste management affects the progress of marine fishery waste management.Clarifying the willingness of fishermen to participate in marine fishery waste management is crucial to promoting marine ecological protection. This thesis firstly summarizes relevant research at home and abroad, expounds the concepts of marine debris, marine fishery debris and fishermen’s willingness to participate, reviews the theory of planned behavior, participatory governance theory and social identity theory, and discusses the participation of Zhoushan fishermen in marine fishery. The current situation of garbage management is explained;secondly,713 valid questionnaires are used to analyze the sample characteristics and the willingness of Zhoushan fishermen to participate in marine fishery garbage management;again,a binary logistic regression model is constructed to analyze behavioral attitudes, perceived norms, perceived behavioral control, etc. The influencing factors of fishermen’s willingness to participate in marine fishery waste management are analyzed dimensionally, and the robustness test is carried out. Finally, countermeasures and suggestions are put forward. The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)Through the analysis of fishermen’s willingness to participate,it is found that most fishermen have the willingness to use recyclable and degradable fish, and the willingness to publicize marine fishery waste.Only half of the fishermen have the willingness to recycle marine fishery waste. There are more fishermen who are unwilling to participate in the removal of marine fishery waste. For different forms of participation, the willingness of fishermen is quite different;(2)Through the analysis of the influencing factors of fishermen’s willingness to participate,it is found that future expectations, experience, family support, colleagues’ participation, economic ability, and policy regulations have a significant impact on fishermen’s willingness to use recyclable and degradable fishing gear.Future expectations, experience, family support, colleagues’ participation,self-control,and spare time have a significant impact on fishermen’s willingness to participate in marine fishery waste publicity.Experience Feelings, leadership choices, placement space, legal awareness, and port acceptance have a significant impact on fishermen’s willingness to participate in marine fishery waste recycling.Future expectations, experience, family support, spare time, and economic ability have a significant impact on fishermen’s willingness to participate in marine fishery waste removal.(3)With the goal of enhancing the willingness of Zhoushan fishermen to participate in marine fishery waste management,it is proposed to improve fishermen’s awareness of marine environmental protection, simplify the way fishermen participate in marine fishery waste management, realize technology-assisted marine fishery waste management, and strengthen fishermen’s participation in marine fishery waste management.Supervision and incentives for governance, improve the marine fishery waste management system and other countermeasures and suggestions, strengthen marine ecological environmental protection, and promote the healthy and sustainable development of fisheries.
