In 2020,COVID-19 epidemic was swept across the globe,and China achieved a major victory in its epidemic prevention and control.The hospital is the "main battlefield" to fight against the epidemic.As a medical technology department,the clinical laboratory has played an important role in the prevention and control of the epidemic.The clinical laboratory undertakes the arduous task of testing a large number of COVID-19 nucleic acids,COVID-19 antibodies and blood routine test.To ensure efficient work,the optimization of the workflow is very important.In addition,with the deepening of health care reform,the implementation of policies(such as drug addition cancellation,grading diagnosis and treatment,DRGs charges,and three medical supervision)in public hospitals has brought greater challenges to public hospitals.Optimizing the work process can reduce costs,improve work efficiency,shorten TAT time,help patients get timely diagnosis and treatment,and help the development of departments and hospitals.Optimizing the work process is also a powerful guarantee for overcoming the Covid-19 epidemic situation.This paper,based on the literature review of BPR,lean management and the clinical laboratory of hospital process optimization at home and abroad,guided by the theory of BPR and lean management,combined with the actual situation of the clinical laboratory testing process in a "3A grade" hospital,ASME analysis method,field investigation method,benchmarking analysis method,cause and effect diagram analysis method,finds out the existing problems,and makes a detailed analysis,so as to build a "3A grade " the clinical laboratory of hospital testing process optimization program.In this paper,the primary processes(specimen collection,receiving,distribution,testing,reporting)are optimized,and then the supporting processes(organizational structure,information system,standard operating documents,Department layout)are optimized.Finally,from the perspective of staff awareness,staff training,and implementation environment,the paper puts forward the safeguard measures of the implementation of the clinical laboratory testing process optimization.
