| According to the international Classification of Diseases(ICD-11)and the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders(DSM-5),Autism Spectrum Disorder(ASD)is a neurodevelopmental disorder. The core symptoms of ASD are the deficiency of social interaction, repetitive behavior and narrow interests, and the prognosis is usually poor, leading to lifelong mental disability.Intraverbal, commonly known as dialogue,is a type of verbal behavior in which speakers make a linguistic response to the utterances of others or themselves. As the core of social and learning behaviors, intraverbal can promote the mastery of other verbal and non-verbal behaviors, and is an important component of many common cognitive abilities.intraverbal plays an important role in a conversation by helping speakers respond quickly and accurately to words and sentences. Many children with autism are able to use basic verbal operant behavior skills such as mand, echoic, and tact, but when it comes to more advanced verbal operant behavior skills, their daily social interaction is often unnatural. The purpose of this study was to explore the characteristics of intraverbal in children with autism spectrum disorder, and to propose an innovative music intervention strategy to effectively improve intraverbal in children with autism spectrum disorder. The study consists of three parts. The first study is about the characteristics of intraverbal in autistic children.Twenty-five autistic children from Special education schools and integrated kindergartens in Shanghai are selected to evaluate their verbal behavior development level through VB-MAPP.The study is analyzed from two dimensions:(1)The score of intraverbal is compared with that of other verbal behavior fields, and the differences between intraverbal and other verbal behavior fields of 25 autistic children are analyzed. It concludes that the score of intraverbal of autistic children is not significantly different from that of mand in the second stage, and is not significantly different from that of mand and language structure in the third stage. In both stages,it is significantly behind other fields such as tact, listener response and matching.(2)By comparing the scores of different milestones in the field of intraverbal, the specific characteristics of 25 autistic children in the field of intraverbal are analyzed. It is found that the autistic children could sing part of children’s songs and answer their own names, but the higher abilities such as phrase filling and question answering are significantly lagging behind.Based on the results of Study 1,study 2 explores the influence of a new music intervention on intraverbal in autistic children, targeting the items with low scores in the intraverbal. The study includes three single-subject designs, all of which are designed with cross-subject multi-probe adapted alternating treatments design:(1)In experiment 1,the researcher compares the effects of music prompt and echoic prompt on intraverbal acquisition of three autistic children, explores the applicability of music intervention. The results show that both two strategies are effective in teaching intraverbal, and the effect of music prompt is better than that of echoic prompt.(2)In experiment 2,the effects of fast speed music and medium speed music on intraverbal acquisition of 3 autistic children are compared. The results show that medium speed music has better intervention effect than fast speed music.(3)In experiment 3,the effects of the fifth, sixth and octave registers on the intraverbal acquisition of three autistic children are compared to explore which melody registers has better intervention effect. The results show that the intervention effect of the fifth and sixth registers is better than that of the octave registers.Study 3 consists of two parts:(1)based on the experimental results of study 2and combined with previous studies, the development of music intervention strategies for intraverbal in children with autism spectrum disorders;(2)The A-B experimental study is conducted on one autistic child to verify the music intervention strategy, and the results shows that:(1)The autistic child learns 60 sets of intraverbal dialogues in 4weeks,(2)person generalization, response generalization and maintenance are good,(3)the child can only sing nursery rhymes and answers her own name during the assessment, and is able to fill in phrases and answer questions about "what" after the intervention. This suggests that the music intervention strategy of intraverbal in autistic children has a good clinical effect.Innovation of this research lies in:(1)in this study overall understanding about the present situation of autism spectrum disorder children’s verbal operant behavior,on the basis of in-depth analysis of the features of verbal operant behavior, explore its weak areas and affect its development verbal operant behavior and the main field, enrich the native Chinese speakers of autism spectrum disorder of children’s language behavior research results;(2)To provide evidence for the application of music intervention in interactive language teaching for children with autism by comparing the effects of music prompt and echoic prompt on intraverbal teaching for children with autism;(3)By comparing fast speed music and medium speed music, the effects of fifth, sixth and octave registers on intraverbal teaching for children with autism, explore the most appropriate music intervention strategy for children with autism;(4)Based on the experimental results,an innovative music intervention strategy for intraverbal in children with autism spectrum disorder was proposed, and the strategy is applied to clinical rehabilitation, which achieves good intervention effect and has important theoretical and practical value. |
