Development And Usability Evaluation Of Family Support Care Platform For Premature Infants Based On Wechat Mini Program

Objectives Based on the timing it right framework and following the concept of"user-centered design",this study deeply explored the family support care needs of parents of premature infants at different stages of hospitalization,discharge preparation and post-discharge,developed a wechat mimi-program platform for family support care of premature infants,and completed the usability evaluation.On this basis,the aim is to establish a Mobile Health（m-Health）based family support nursing intervention program for premature infants,to provide support for the family care of parents of premature infants from hospitalization to discharge,and to provide a basis for the application and promotion of Mobile medical technology in the population of premature infants.Methods 1.Analysis of the needs of family support care for parents of premature infants（1）Literature review:Literature review was adopted to deeply understand the care experience and needs of parents of premature infants at different stages at home and abroad,and to master the current situation of family support care needs of parents of premature infants.（2）User research:Based on the timing it right framework,phenomenological research method was adopted to analyze the needs of parents of premature infants for family support care through semi-structured interviews.（3）Preliminary ideas for platform content:Through literature review and analysis of user needs,the needs of family support care for parents of premature infants were grasped,and the platform framework and its contents were preliminarily constructed based on the timing it right framework.2.Development and testing of wechat mini program platform for family support care of premature infants（1）Expert Group meetings:Convene expert group meetings to discuss the preliminarily formed platform framework and draft content,and make modifications according to expert opinions to finally determine the content and functions of the platform.（2）Platform development and testing:Following the concept of "user-centered design",rapid prototyping model was used to develop the platform.After the prototype was developed,convenient sampling of parents of premature infants,researchers,medical staff and software engineers tested the platform prototype until the small program platform met the research requirements.3.Usability evaluation of wechat mini program for family support care of premature infantsParents of premature infants were selected as the research objects,and a mixed research method was adopted to understand users’ feelings and experience of using the platform content and mini programs by using the system availability scale and unstructured interview.Results 1.Analysis of the needs of family support care for parents of premature infantsThrough literature review and user demand analysis,and based on the timing it right framework,a design draft of platform content and function was formed.The draft content was preliminarily drawn up as follows:3 periods,namely,NICU hospitalization period,discharge transition period and discharge home period;Each period includes emotional support,information support and technical support.2.Development and testing of wechat mini program platform for family support care of premature infantsThe contents and functions of the wechat mini program platform for family support care of premature infants were determined by the expert group meeting.The platform content consists of three modules:knowledge module,skill module and experience module.After rapid prototype model development mode and several rounds of testing,the successful development of wechat mini program client and back-end data management system.The mini program client contains the following functions:authorized login,information entry,online group chat,online consultation,message reminder,search and other functions.A wechat mini program named "Nursing of Premature Infants" was released and used.The client ended up with an authorized login page,a user privacy policy agreement page,a current status selection page and four main pages（Childcare collection,Baby,Message and ME）.3.Usability evaluation of wechat mini program for family support and care of premature infantsThis study evaluated the usability of "Nursing of premature Infants" by using the systematic availability scale and unstructured interview.The results show that the mini program has good acceptability and usability,and can be put into clinical use.Conclusion The family support care needs of the parents of premature infants changed dynamically with the different stages of the infant’s disease course.Following the concept of "user-centered design" and based on the needs of parents of premature infants,this study completed the development of wechat mini program platform for family support care of premature infants,which can provide parents of premature infants with integrated family care support during hospitalization,transition period and home period.
