Preliminary Study On The Expression Of IL-23 And IL-17in The Peripheral Blood Of Psoriasis Vulgaris Patients With Blood-heat Syndrome And The Relating Regulating Effect Of The Supplemented Liang Xue Xiao Feng Powder

Objective:To explore the expression of IL-23 and IL-17 in peripheral blood of psoriasis vulgaris patients with blood-heat syndrome,from the cytokines aspect discussing the substance of blood-heat syndrome of psoriasis vulgaris.To Compare the IL-23 and IL-17 levels in peripheral blood of pre-and post-intervention of SLXXFP and Acitretin for elucidating the potential advantage of SLXXFP,and providing experimental evidence of the mechanism of TCM treating PV.Method: A total of 40 cases were recruited in this study,including 30 PV patients with blood-heat syndrom and 10 healthy volunteers.Luminex technology was used to detect the concentration of IL-23 and IL-17 in blood samples of healthy volunteers and PV patients.Divided PV patients into two groups: SLXXFP group and Acitretin group(Acitretin),detecting the changes of IL-23 and IL-17 level after 8-week treatment.The data was shown as x bar ± s and analysed by SPSS.Results:1.Compared with healthy volunteers,IL-23 and IL-17 were significantly increased in PV patients with blood-heat syndrome(P<0.01 P<0.01).2.PASI score and itching degree score were significantly decreased after both of SLXXFP group and Acitretin group treatment(P<0.01).3.The effective rates of SLXXFP group and Acitretin group were 86.67% and71.43%,respectively,which showed no significant difference(P>0.05).4.After treatment,IL-23 and IL-17 of SLXXFP group showed no significant difference with healthy group(P>0.05).No significant difference was shown on IL-17 of Acitretin group with healthy group(P>0.05),while the level of IL-23 was higher than healthy group with a statistic difference(P<0.05).5.Correlation analysis: The PASI score and itching degree score of PV patients had positive correlation with each other(P<0.05).The level of IL-23 and IL-17 had positive correlation with each other(P<0.05).IL-17 was positively correlated with itching degree score(P<0.05).There was no significant correlation between IL-23/IL-17 and PASI score.Conclusion:1.Abnormally high levels of IL-23 and IL-17 have been observed in patients with psoriasis,which might be the micro basement of blood-heat syndrome.SLXXFP mighe take effect by adjusting the level of IL-23 and IL-17.2.Both SLXXFP and Acitretin are safe and effective,but TCM syndrome differentiation treatment is more advantageous.
