Seven TCM Formulas Combined With Western Medicine For Functional Dyspepsia With Liver-stomach Disharmony Syndrome:A Network Meta-analysis

Object: To pick out the optimal therapy and provide evidencebased medicine support for clinical physicians by comparing the efficacy and safety of different TCM therapies with western medicine for functional dyspepsia.Method: We searched eligible RCTs with TCM interventions,including Chaihushugan powder 、 Xiaoyao powder 、 Xiaochaihu decoction 、 Chaishaoliujunzi decoction 、 Simo decoction 、Chaizhipinggan decoction、Jiaweisanxiang decoction,through the mainstream databases from their inception to December 2021.Two authors independently extracted data and assessed the methodological quality of the retrieved articles.Following were the criteria for eligibility:（1）Patients were diagnosed with the liver-depression-syndrome functional dyspepsia;（2）TCM formula with western medicine was applied to the experimental group while the western medicine went for the control group;（3）Any one of the clinical curative rate,clinical effective rate,and the incidence of adverse events was employed for outcome measurement.Eventually,we conducted a network meta-analysis by R software and its packages.Results:（1）Seventy-one studies were included with a total sample of 6157 cases;（2）The heterogeneity analysis suggested low or moderate heterogeneity for all interventions but Simo Decoction with western medicine;（3）The pairwise tables revealed that CHSGP plus WM,XYP plus WM,XCHD plus WM,CZPGD plus WM,JWSXD plus WM prevailed in CCR than WM.ALL TCM formulas with WM excelled than WM at CER.Other than that,XYP plus WM was more effective than CHSGP plus WM.XCHD plus WM had the lowest incidence rate of adverse events than other interventions.（4）As values of SUCRA indicated,the rank for CCR and CER went from high to low as XCHD plus WM,XYP plus WM,CHSGP plus WM,CSLJZD plus WM,CZPGD plus WM,SMD plus WM,JWSXD plus WM,WM.As for CER,it went as follows: XYP plus WM,XCHD plus WM,CSLJZD plus WM,CZPGD plus WM,CHSGP plus WM,SMD plus WM,JWSXD plus WM,WM.Regarding AE,it went from low to high as XCHD plus WM,XYP plus WM,CSLJZD plus WM,CZPGD plus WM,CHSGP plus WM,SMD plus WM,WM.（5）As two-dimensional plots and three-dimensional plots indicated,XYP plus WM and XCHD plus WM ranked first given CCR and CER.While considering CCR and AE,XCHD plus WM was most prominent.Taking CER and AE into account,XCHD plus WM also prevailed.With all the outcomes measured,XCHD plus WM was most noteworthy.Conclusion: XCHD plus WM and XYP plus WM were potential therapies for functional dyspepsia with liver-stomach disharmony syndrome.However,this conclusion remained to be verified by multicentral and international RCTs in a doubleblinding design on a large scale.
