A Study About The Law Of The Medication In Jaundice Medical Record Of The Tang And Song Dynasty

BackgroundDuring the Tang and Song Dynasties,many doctors put forward new academic views and treatment methods on the basis of inheriting the theory of diagnosis and treatment of jaundice,which had an important impact on the treatment of jaundice for later generations,and had an important significance of connecting the past and the future.It is of positive significance for modern clinical treatment of jaundice to study the medication law of jaundice in Tang and Song dynasties.ObjectiveIn this study,the literature of prescriptions for diagnosis and treatment of jaundice in Tang and Song Dynasties was taken as the breakthrough point.By consulting the literature,collecting and sorting out the medicines for treatment of jaundice,and using modern statistical analysis methods to carry out data mining such as frequency analysis and cluster analysis,the regularity and characteristics of doctors’ medicines for treatment of jaundice in this period were summarized,which provided a new direction for clinical medication and provided medicines or prescriptions with clear curative effect for the next research and experiment.MethodsThe related literatures of jaundice in Tang and Song dynasties were collected.The drugs were sorted out.The drug database was established,and the drugs were classified by nature,taste,meridian tropism and efficacy.SPSS software was used for frequency analysis and cluster analysis.Combined with the literature,this paper studies the medication rules of Tang and song doctors in the treatment of jaundice,and analyzes the theoretical understanding and medication characteristics of Tang and song doctors in the treatment of jaundice.ResultsA total of 46 Works were consulted,of which 20 were included in the study with specific prescription records,and 26 were not included in the study without jaundice prescription records.A total of 287 prescriptions were collected,with a total frequency of 364 times.A total of 173 kinds of drugs were used,with a total frequency of 1692 times.A total of 44 kinds of high frequency drugs were used for 1356 times.In Tang and Song Dynasties,most of the drugs used in the treatment of jaundice were cold drugs and mild cold drugs,which were followed by mild drugs and warm drugs,and hot drugs were less used.The taste of drugs was mainly bitter,pungent and sweet.The channel tropism of drugs was mainly spleen,stomach,lung,liver and gallbladder,followed by heart channel.In all kinds of drugs,the main drugs were heat clearing drugs,followed by tonifying deficiency drugs,diuretic drugs,purgative drugs and antidote drugs,supplemented by expectorant,antitussive and antiasthmatic drugs,and emetic drugs medicine,Qi regulating medicine,etc.By cluster analysis,the common drugs used in the treatment of jaundice in Tang and Song dynasties were rhubarb,gardenia,Artemisia capillaris,bupleurum,Poria cocos,licorice,Scutellaria,Cimicifuga,Atractylodes macrocephala,almond and Fructus aurantii.ConclusionIn Tang and Song Dynasties,the treatment of jaundice focused on clearing away heat and dampness,strengthening the spleen,clearing away heat through the Fu organs,dispersing the lung and relieving the exterior.In Tang and Song Dynasties,the commonly used drugs for the treatment of jaundice were rhubarb,gardenia,Artemisia capillaris,bupleurum,Poria cocos,licorice,Scutellaria baicalensis,Cimicifuga,Atractylodes macrocephala,almond and Fructus aurantii.It can provide clinical reference for the treatment of jaundice in modern Chinese medicine.
