Objective: The overall lifetime risk of stroke in my country is ranking first in the world. The onset of stroke patients is accompanied by the occurrence of related disabilities, and special personnel are required to take care of them. The long-term care burden and pressure not only affect the quality of life of patients, but also seriously damage the physical and mental health of the main caregivers of stroke patients.Social participation and well-being decreased significantly, leading to negative emotions such as depression and anxiety. This study investigates the anxiety of the main caregivers of stroke patients, analyzes its distribution characteristics and influencing factors, and provides scientific basis for formulating targeted intervention measures and improving the mental health of the main caregivers of stroke patients. Methods: Collected 490 cases of Primary caregivers of stroke Patients who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria from December 2018 to June 2019 in two Public hospitals.A self-made questionnaire for general conditions of Patients and caregivers and daily activity scales were used.(ADL),Stress Scale(CSI),General Self-Efficacy Scale(GSES),Generalized Anxiety Scale(GAD-7)were investigated.Data analysis uses SPSS26.0 statistical software and AMOS24.0 statistical software for analysis. Results: 1.Among the 490 caregivers, males account for 30.60% and females account for 69.40%;their age is(53.55±13.04)years old.Among the family caregivers of stroke patients,298 people have anxiety symptoms, accounting for 60.82%.There are 138 people with moderate or severe anxiety, accounting for 28.16%.2.Patient’s gender, age, physical self-care ability(PSMA),instrumental activities of daily living(IAD),gender of caregiver, average monthly income of caregiver, relationship between caregiver and patient, caregiver’s daily care time, caregiver Sleep time, stress level, and self-efficacy level have an effect on carers’ anxiety, and the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05).3.Through multi-factor analysis,it is found that the factors affecting the main caregivers of stroke patients are: caregiver self-efficacy,caregiver pressure,caregiver-patient relationship, patient’s physical life self-care ability, and patient age.4.The self-efficacy of caregivers plays a partially mediating role between stress and anxiety(P<0.01),and stress and self-efficacy can predict their anxiety level. Conclusions: 1.The main caregivers of stroke patients have different degrees of anxiety symptoms, and the anxiety level is generally high.2.The self-efficacy of the main caregiver in the family of stroke patients, the pressure of the caregiver, the relationship between the caregiver and the patient, the self-care ability of the patient’s physical life, and the age of the patient are the main influencing factors of the main caregiver in the family of stroke patients.3.Self-efficacy plays a mediating role between the stress and anxiety of the main caregivers of stroke patients. It can reduce the stress level of caregivers, enhance their self-efficacy,and effectively improve and alleviate the anxiety of the main caregivers of stroke patients. |
