Objective: To apply portable polysomnography(PSM)to monitor and record nightly sleep parameters of individuals according to their daily routines;analyse the significance of PSM for sleep monitoring.Method: From May 2020 to July 2020,a portable polysomnography portable sleep monitoring and management system based on AASM standard was used to monitor 4 subjects’ sleep at home for 6 consecutive nights under daily life and work separately.Collection: total recording time;total sleep time;total awake time;sleep efficiency;duration of N1,N2,N3,REM.N1,N2,N3,REM proportion and other data were statistically analyzed.Results:1.The overall proportion of each stage: The proportion of N3 phase is 18.68 ±6.10%,the proportion of N2 phase is 59.90 ±10.26%,the proportion of N1 phase is 18.68 ±6.10%,the proportion of REM phase is11.14 ±4.48%.2.Correlation between sleep efficiency and sleep stages in each subject and in general:The correlation between sleep efficiency and sleep stage ratio among subjects: there was a positive correlation between N3% of subject 1 and sleep efficiency(r=0.852,P=0.031),while there was no significant correlation between N3% and sleep efficiency in other subjects,There was a positive correlation between N2% and sleep efficiency in subjects 4(r = 0.931,P=0.030),There was a negative correlation between N1% and sleep efficiency in subjects 4(r=0.937,P=0.009),while there was no significant correlation between N1% and N2% and sleep efficiency in the rest of the subjects.Overall,the correlation between sleep efficiency and the proportion of sleep stages: N3% was positively correlated with sleep efficiency(r=0.641,P=0.000),N3% was negatively correlated with sleep efficiency(r=0.478,P=0.010),N3%+R% was positively correlated with sleep efficiency(r=0.427,P=0.021),N1%+N2% was negatively correlated with sleep efficiency(r=-0.427,P=0.021),There was no significant correlation between the proportion of other sleep stages and sleep efficiency.Conclusions:1.The portable polysomnography monitor is used to monitor the home(long-term)overnight sleep of individuals in multiple daily life and working conditions.the portable polysomnography monitor may have more advantages than traditional sleep monitoring equipment.it may be more widely used in normal individuals and clinical patients in the future.2.The direct relationship between sleep efficiency and disease remains to be further studied.
