Objective:This report describes the parenting competence,post-partum depression,social support and coping style of the maternal spouse at 3 days after birth and 6 weeks after birth,and analyzes the effects of general information,post-partum depression,social support and coping style on the parenting competence of the maternal spouse 3 days after the birth and6 weeks after 6 weeks,respectively.Method:The research method of this study is descriptive research,sampling method is convenient sampling,from December 2019 to December 2020,175 maternal spouses who met the criteria for obstetric delivery at a sanjia hospital in Wuhan City were selected as the study subjects,using the general data questionnaire,the Edinburgh postpartum depression scale,the social support scale,and the response scale questionnaire.Using SPSS21.0 statistical software for statistical analysis.The factors affecting the competence of maternal spouse’s parenting are described by using statistical methods such as single-factor analysis,correlation analysis and multi-step regression analysis.Results:1.The total score of parental competence of maternal spouses 3 days after birth and 6weeks after child-rearing was: 73.06±10.23 points,76.49±10.53 points respectively.2.In the single-factor study,the factors affecting 3 days after birth were: age,education,income,housing satisfaction,marital satisfaction,raising children,parenting training.The factors affected by 6 weeks after birth are: age,education,income,place of residence,housing satisfaction,marital satisfaction,raising children,parenting training,paternity leave,planning pregnancy.3.The relevant analysis showed that,at 3 days after birth,the maternal spouse’s child-rearing effectiveness was positively correlated with objective support,subjective support,support utilization,total social support score and positive coping style,negatively correlated with postpartum depression,positive correlation with objective support,subjective support,total social support score and positive coping style,and negative correlation with postpartum depression and negative coping style;Negative correlations were associated with postpartum depression and negative coping patterns.At 6 weeks after birth,the maternal spouse’s child-rearing effectiveness was positively correlated with objective support,subjective support,support utilization,total social support score and positive coping style,negatively related to postpartum depression;Negative correlations were associated with postpartum depression and negative coping patterns.4.The results of multiple linear gradual return showed that depression,positive coping style,negative coping style,education,and subjective support in social support explained43.3% of the total variation of maternal spouse’s parenting competence in 3 days after child-rearing;Conclusion:1.The competence of the maternal spouse to raise children is at a moderate level and is on the rise.2.The main influencing factors of maternal spouse’s parenting competence 3 days after birth are: depression,positive coping style,negative coping style,education,subjective social support;The main influencing factors of maternal spouse’s parenting competence in the 6 weeks after birth are: depression,education,negative coping style,positive coping style,and planning pregnancy.
