Clinical Observation Of Ersan Zhixiao Decoction In Treating Chronic Asthma(Syndrome Of Phlegm Turbidity Obstructing The Lung) And Its Effect On TSLP In Serum

Objective:To observe the effects of Ersan Zhixiao Decoction on TCM syndrome scores,ACT questionnaire scores and TSLP content in serum of patients with chronic asthma(syndrome of phlegm turbidity obstructing the lung),and to evaluate its clinical efficacy and safety.Methods:From June 2020 to December 2020,70 patients with chronic asthma(syndrome of phlegm turbidity obstructing the lung)who were in accordance with the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into treatment group and control group.35 patients in treatment group were given Ersan Zhixiao Decoction orally,one dose a day,decocted with water,and each took150 ml after breakfast and dinner;while in the control group,35 patients were given salmeterol and fluticasone propionate powder inhalation(50μg salmeterol and 250μg fluticasone propionate)twice a day for 4 weeks.Among them,2 cases in the treatment group lost follow-up,1 case was eliminated because of taking other drugs during the trial,and 32 cases were actually completed;in the control group,1 case lost follow-up,1 case was eliminated because of the aggravation of illness,and 1 case was eliminated because of taking other drugs during the trial,and 32 cases were actually completed.Before and after treatment,the TCM syndrome scores and ACT scores were compared between the two groups,and the changes of TSLP content in serum before and after treatment were detected.Results:1.Ersan Zhixiao Decoction has a significant clinical effect in treating chronic asthma(syndrome of phlegm turbidity obstructing the lung).The total effective rate of the treatment group was 87.50%,while that of the control group was 78.13%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.After treatment,the TCM symptom scores of both groups improved.The treatment group was superior to the control group in improving the main TCM symptoms such as dyspnea,chest tightness,shortness of breath and expectoration,and the minor TCM symptoms such as poor appetite,fullness of stomach and drowsiness(P<0.05),the improvement of TCM symptom scores such as cough was equal to that of the control group(P>0.05).The wheezing sounds in the lungs of the two groups were improved,but there was no difference between the two groups(P>0.05).3.After treatment,the ACT scores of both groups increased,and the treatment group was better than the control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05).4.After treatment,the serum TSLP levels of the two groups decreased,which was statistically significant(P<0.05),but there was no difference between the two groups(P>0.05).5.Before and after treatment,the safety indicators of the two groups had no clinical significance.Conclusions:1.Ersan Zhixiao Decoction can improve TCM syndromes of patients with chronic asthma(syndrome of phlegm turbidity obstructing the lung).2.Ersan Zhixiao Decoction can improve the lung wheezing sound of patients with chronic asthma(syndrome of phlegm turbidity obstructing the lung).3.Ersan Zhixiao Decoction can effectively improve the ACT scores of patients with chronic asthma(syndrome of phlegm turbidity obstructing the lung).4.Ersan Zhixiao Decoction can reduce the content of TSLP in serum of patients with chronic asthma(syndrome of phlegm turbidity obstructing the lung).5.Ersan Zhixiao Decoction is safe and effective in treating chronic asthma(syndrome of phlegm turbidity obstructing the lung).
