Clinical Observation Of Tongqiao Wendan Decoction In Treating Children’s Allergic Rhinitis (Lung Meridian Heat Syndrome)

Objective:The purpose of this study was to observe the clinical effect of Tongqiao wendan decoction on children with allergic rhinitis(lung meridian heat syndrome).Methods:A total of 60 children with allergic rhinitis(lung meridian heat syndrome)who were admitted to the Pediatric Clinic of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and met the diagnostic criteria and inclusion criteria were selected.According to the principle of randomization,they were divided into experimental group(Tongqiao Wendan Decoction treatment)and control group(Cetirizine hydrochloride syrup treatment),30 cases in each group,and both groups were treated for 4 weeks.Before treatment,2 weeks after treatment,and 4 weeks as observation time points,the clinical observation table was counted.The statistical software SPSS 25.0 was used to objectively analyze and compare the clinical efficacy of the two groups.Results:1.Before treatment,there was no significant difference between the two groups of children in gender,age,course of disease,and the scores of each symptom(P>0.05),and they were comparable.2.Comparing the two groups of children before and after treatment in the main symptoms,secondary symptoms,signs and total scores,the results of the comparison within the group showed that the two groups were significantly improved after treatment than before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the comparison between the groups showed that the treatment effect of the experimental group was significantly better than the control group between the 2 weeks and 4 weeks of the main symptom and the secondary symptom,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01);In terms of physical signs(turbinate hypertrophy),there was no significant difference in the treatment effect after 2 weeks of treatment(P>0.05).When the physical signs were treated for 4 weeks,the treatment effect of the experimental group was better than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.The total efficacy of the two groups was 90.00% in the experimental group and 75.86% in the control group.The difference in the total efficacy between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.01).Conclusions:1.Tongqiao Wendan Decoction can effectively reduce the primary and secondary symptoms and signs of allergic rhinitis in children(lung meridian heat syndrome),with a high cure rate.2.The effect of Tongqiao Wendan Decoction in the treatment of allergic rhinitis in children is better than that of Cetirizine hydrochloride syrup.
