| Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of modified Gegen Qinlian Decoction in the treatment of type 2 diabetes with dampness-heat obstruction,objectively evaluate its effectiveness and safety in reducing blood glucose and improving clinical symptoms,and lay the foundation for further mechanism research.Methods: In this study,60 cases of type 2 diabetes patients with dampness-heat obstruction type of meeting the inclusion criteria in Yongchuan Hospital of traditional Chinese medicine were selected as the research objects,and they were randomly divided into two groups,the observation group and the control group(30 cases in each group).The control group was given basic treatment and Metformin Hydrochloride Sustained-release Tablets(II)0.5g po bid,while the observation group was given modified Gegen Qinlian Decoction 150 ml po bid on the basis of the control group,all patients were treated for 8 weeks.The traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome score,FPG,2hPBG,Hb A1 c,FINS,ISI,HOMA-IR and adverse reactions were recorded before and after treatment.To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of modified Gegen Qinlian Decoction in the treatment of dampness-heat obstruction type T2 DM by statistical analysis of the data.Results:(1)In the aspect of improving blood glucose related indicators,the two groups can effectively reduce the levels of FPG,2hPBG and HbA1c(P < 0.05),and the observation group is better than the control group in improving blood glucose related indicators(P < 0.05).(2)In the aspect of improving insulin resistance,ISI and HOMA-IR in the two groups were significantly improved after treatment(P < 0.05),comparing the two experimental groups,the therapeutic effect difference was prominent(P < 0.05),and the observation group was better.(3)In the aspect of improving TCM symptoms,the effective rate of TCM syndrome improvement in the observation group was 88.98%,while that in the control group was 62.07%,and there was difference between them(P <0.05).Among them,it was better than the control group in improving the symptoms of thirsty and drinking,eating too much,abdominal distension,heavy head and body,yellow and turbid urine,sticky stool and fatigue(P <0.05).(4)In the aspect of safety,there didn’t happen serious adverse reactions or side effects in the two groups,but there were 4 patients with mild gastrointestinal reactions in the control group,which were all self remission,and the study drug dose was not adjusted.Conclusion: modified Gegen Qinlian decoction can effectively increase insulin sensitivity,improve insulin resistance,regulate glucose metabolism;can significantly reduce clinical symptoms,improve the quality of life of patients. |
