Clinical Observation Of GeGen QinLian Decoction In The Treatment Of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus With Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis

Objective: Using the method of clearing away heat and detoxification,dispersing collaterals.For damp-heat stasis type 2 diabetes mellitus combined with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis,The curative effect of Ge Gen Qinlian Decoction was observed.To further explore the mechanism of Ge Gen Qin Lian Decoction in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis.Methods: Sixty patients who met the inclusion criteria of this clinical observation study were selected,the patients were divided into treatment group(30 cases)and control group(30 cases)by completely random method.Both the treatment group and the control group received general treatment,namely disease health education,dietary precautions,and oral dministration of metformin.In the treatment group,in addition to the general treatment,the traditional Chinese medicine(pueraria,scutellaria,rhizoma coptidis,prunella,fritillaria,rhizoma zedoariae,saponin,etc.)was also given in addition to the general treatment.fry 400 ml water,take warm for half an hour after breakfast and dinner,one dose a day;In the control group,in addition to general treatment,levothyroxine sodium(Euthyrox)was given.The clinical observation lasted for 12 weeks.The main observation indexes were: TCM clinical symptoms,blood glucose and lipid,islet function,thyroid function(anti-thyroglobulin antibody,anti-thyroid peroxidase antibody),etc.Results: Found after 12 weeks of treatment,the control group and treatment group of patients with clinical symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine and thyroid function(anti thyroglobulin antibody and anti-thyroid peroxidase antibody),blood glucose,blood lipid,insulin levels are certain to improve,and the curative effect of treatment group therapy effect is superior to control group,both statistically difference.During the observation period of this study,no obvious adverse reactions occurred.Conclusion: This clinical study showed that the addition and subtraction of Gegen Qinlian Decoction was based on the principle of clearing away heat and detoxifying and dispersing collaterals.It can improve the clinical symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine and blood glucose,blood lipid,insulin levels and other related indicators in patients with Type 2 diabetes mellitus with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis.Ge Gen Qin Lian Decoction for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis can improve the quality of life of patients,has a high safety,and is worthy of clinical promotion.
