Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of “Hegu needling”in the treatment of peripheral facial paralysis,so as to provide new ideas and methods for the treatment of facial paralysis. Methods:The 66 sick with peripheral facial palsy who was randomly separated into observation groups and controls using a table of random digits, and there are 33 suffersers in each group. The control group received conventional acupuncture, referring to the selection of points of acupuncture points in the Book of acupuncture and Moxibustion Therapeutics on facial paralysis, acupoint selection: the observation group was treated with the "Hegu Needling" method, and the points were selected: by Yang Bai into the needle, along the sizhu empty, save bamboo, fish waist direction flat needle;by four Bai into the needle, along the eye,Tong Zi Liao,Yingxiang direction through the needle;by the warehouse into the needle, along the cheek car, ditch, bearing pulp direction through the needle, pulling forward slanting needle,Tinggong,Hegu,Zhigou,Zusanli,Yanglingquan and other acupoints are directly punctured, the acupoints are not any reinforcing-reducing techniques.Acupuncture for 5 days,2 days off,7 days as a treatment course,4 courses in total, before treatment, after the third course and after the fourth course, the curative effect was evaluated by House-brachmann(H-B)classification of facial nerve function, facial disability index(FDI)and TCM symptom evaluation standard. The results were analyzed statistically.Results:1.Comprehensive comparative analysis of the general situation:We compared basic patient information(including age, sex, disease course, and distribution of affected side)in the two groups before acupuncture, and the discrepancy was not statistically worth(P>0.05).The two groups of patients had the same ability to compare, and the HB facial nerve function score,FDI score of physical function(FDIP),social life function(FDIS),TCM syndrome treatment effect standard scoring of patients before treatment were compared between groups. And the difference was not statistically meaning(P>0.05),it pointed out that the two groups of patients could compare equally.suggesting that the therapeutic effect of “Hegu needling”on peripheral facial paralysis patients in late stage is more effective than that of general acupuncture and can shorten the course of treatment.2.Comprehensive efficacy analysis:After 3 weeks of acupuncture, the overall proficiency rate of the encounter was 65.63%,the overall proficiency of the observer was 87.50%,the influences of the observation group was powerful(P<0.05),and the diversity was statistically meaning. After 4 weeks of acupuncture, the overall proficiency rate of the observation group was 90.62% and that of the encounters was 78.13%,and the therapy outcome was improved in the observation group(P<0.05),with a statistical divergence. In the observation group, the total efficacy after acupuncture 3 and 4 acupuncture was similar(P>0.05).It is pointed that“Hegu needling” is a better way to cure the therapy of patients with peripheral facial paralysis.By the "Hegu needling" method can effectively restore the patient’s facial symmetry and improve motor function of the facial muscles. The treatment effect is better than that of general acupuncture, and it has a therapeutic effect. The cycle is shorter.3.H-B classification of facial nerve function:After the third treatment cycle, the classification of the facial nerve function of the two groups of patients improved significantly compared to before treatment(P<0.05),and the differences were statistically significant. The HB classification of the observation group was compared to the contraposition the effect was more significant(P<0.05).After the 4th course of treatment, compared to week 3,the HB classification of the control group was still significantly increased(P<0.05),the discrepancy was statistically meaning, whereas the observation group did not significantly improve(P>0.05),and the discrepancy was not statistically meaning. In the two groups of contrast, the promotion in H-B gred in the observation group was loftily than the comparison(P<0.05),and the divergence was statistically meaning.4.Comparison of FDIS scores:After the third treatment cycle,The fraction of FDIS has a evident addition compared to before therapy, and divergence Intra-group comparison and between groups were statistically meaning(P<0.05).After the completion of acupuncture at week 4,the FDIS fraction number of the control group was obviously lower than at the end of acupuncture at week 3(P<0.05),and the discrepancy was statistically nuance. There was no evident variance in fraction in the observation group(P>0.05),and the divergence was not statistically worth. The FDIS fraction of the observation group inclined control group’s score(P<0.05),and the difference was statistically worth.5.Comparison of FDIP scores: After 3 weeks of acupuncture, the FDIP scores of the two groups increased significantly compared to the pre-acupuncture group, and there was a statistically worth of the comparison between groups(P<0.05).After the completion of acupuncture at week 4,the FDIP fraction number of the control group was loftily at the end of acupuncture at week 3(P<0.05),and the diversity was statistically meaning. The observation group has not clear variance in fraction(P>0.05),and the divergence was not statistically worth. The FDIP fraction number of the observation group was still loftily than that of the confrontation(P <0.05),and the discrepancy was statistically meaning.6.The scores of TCM Symptom Treatment Effectiveness Benchmark: After 3 courses of treatment, the comprehensive scores of TCM symptom and curative effect evaluation standard decreased significantly to the pre-treatment.Intra-group and the comparison between groups statistically significant(P<0.05).After 4 courses of treatment,The standard TCM symptom healing effect score in the encounters was still significantly alleviate(P<0.05),the discrepancy was statistically worth, the number of observed components did not change significantly, and the divergence was not significant(P>0.05).Compared with the control group, the overall TCM facial nerve paralysis healing effect standard score of the observation group dropped significantly(P<0.05),and the difference was statistically significant. Conclusion:Through this study,it is further proved that the method of “Hegu needling”can obviously improve the facial muscle paralysis symptoms, improve the facial muscle movement function and social life function of the patients, and has a better therapeutic effect than the routine acupuncture method, and effective quickly, safe and convenient, worthy of clinical promotion.
