Clinical Research On The Treatment Of Piriformis Syndrome With Shu Jin Tong Luo Acupuncture Therapy

Objectives:This subject took patients with piriformis syndrome as the research object,and objectively evaluated the clinical efficacy of Shu Jin Tong Luo acupuncture therapy on piriformis syndrome from the aspects of Visual Analog Score,Oswestry dysfunction index,and instant pain relief.The clinical effect of the syndrome was compared with traditional acupuncture therapy,aiming to provide a set of new programs with definite curative effect,simple and easy to implement for the application of acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of piriformis syndrome in clinical work Methods:This project selected patients who were diagnosed with piriformis syndrome in the outpatient and inpatient department of the Acupuncture,Tuina Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March,2020 to January,2021.86 patients with piriformis syndrome who met the inclusion criteria were included in this study.Using statistical software to generate random numbers,according to the ratio of 1:1,the 86 patients with piriformis syndrome included in the research were grouped according to the coding results.Forty-three patients in the treatment group were treated with Shujin Tongluo acupuncture;43 patients in the control group were treated with traditional acupuncture with conventional acupoint selection.The treatment cycle of the two groups of patients was 2 weeks,the frequency was three times a week,and the treatment was performed every other day.Recorded the VAS value,ODI value,immediate analgesic effect,clinical symptom score and other data of the two groups of patients with piriformis syndrome before and after treatment,and recorded the adverse events and their causes during the treatment of this subject at any time.The baseline data and various clinical data collected in this subject were sorted and entered,and finally the SPSS23.0 statistical software was used to analyze the results according to the different types of statistical data,and the Shujin Tongluo Needle Method was compared with traditional acupuncture therapy in the clinical treatment of piriformis syndrome.Results:1.A total of 80 patients with piriformis syndrome had completed the research of this subject.During the treatment,6 patients fell off due to various reasons.In the patients who were finally included in the statistical analysis,there were a total of 39 cases in the treatment group and a total of 41 cases in the control group.There was no significant difference between the baseline data of the two groups of patients and the pre-treatment VAS value,ODI value,and clinical symptom score(P>0.05),so the outcome indicators between the treatment group and the control group were comparable.2.Comparison of VAS value,ODI value,and clinical symptom score: The treatment group and the control group were compared before and after the treatment.The results showed that the indicators of the two groups of patients after treatment were significantly improved compared with those before treatment,and there were Significant difference(P<0.01).After treatment,the two groups of patients were compared between the two groups.The results showed that the indicators of the treatment group were significantly better than those of the control group,and there were significant differences(P<0.01).3.Comparison of immediate analgesic effects: According to the analysis of the immediate pain relief feedback from patients in the treatment group and the control group after receiving the first treatment,the treatment group’s immediate efficiency was 82.05%,and the control The immediate efficiency of the group was 60.98%.The results showed that the immediate pain relief of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group,and there was a significant difference(P<0.01).4.Comparison of clinical efficacy: According to the statistical analysis of the change rate of clinical symptom scores before and after treatment in the treatment group and the control group,the results showed that the effective rate of the treatment group was 92.31%,while the effective rate of the control group was 78.05%.The curative effect was significantly better than the control group,and there was a significant difference(P<0.01).Conclusions:1.According to the analysis of VAS value,ODI value and clinical symptom score before and after treatment of patients in the two groups,the two treatment methods can achieve significant efficacy in improving patients’ pain degree,dysfunction and other clinical symptoms,but Shu Jin Tong Luo acupuncture therapy had a better effect.2.In the treatment of piriformis syndrome,the instant analgesic effect and clinical efficacy of Shu Jin Tong Luo acupuncture therapy were significantly better than traditional acupuncture therapy.3.In the treatment of piriformis syndrome,Shu Jin Tong Luo acupuncture therapy had the advantages of good curative effect,quick onset and no adverse events,which was worthy of clinical promotion.
