Objective:Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo is a frequent and common disease in women, which seriously affects the daily life of patients. Its treatment and prognosis have been paid more and more attention by all sectors of society. The purpose of this study is to explore the correlation between the occurrence of residual dizziness symptoms and self-depressed state in female patients with benign paroxysmal positional vertigo after transurethral stone reduction treatment.Further supplement the systematic treatment of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, take the patient as the basis, make the treatment options more conform to today’s mainstream bio psycho social medicine model, improve the prognosis of patients and improve the quality of patient survival, but also provide an application basis for comprehensive treatment methods of mental health.Method:The data of 104 women with BPPV who underwent manual reduction in the Affiliated Hospital of Chengde Medical College from March 2019 to October 2020 were retrospectively analyzed. The self-rating depression scale was used to assess the anxiety and depression status of the patients after reduction and grouped to compare the prognostic effects of different groups of patients after successful reduction.Result:Of the 48 patients without depressive symptoms,5 had complete symptom control,31 had basic control,12 had partial control, and 0 had no control.Of 56 patients with suspected and confirmed depression,1 was completely controlled;25 were basically controlled;26 were partially controlled;and 4 were uncontrolled. There was a significant difference in the prognostic effect between the group without depressive symptoms and the group with suspected and confirmed depression(P < 0.05).The patients with depression and depressive tendency had poor therapeutic effect, and the proportion and severity of residual dizziness were higher. Conclusion:It is of great significance to pay attention to the mental health of patients.Early attention and taking corresponding measures during the treatment are conducive to reducing the occurrence of residual dizziness.Appropriate vestibular rehabilitation and psychological counseling for BPPV patients after transurethral stone reduction therapy will be beneficial to reduce the incidence of residual dizziness after treatment and shorten the duration of symptoms.
