Clinical Observation On Gualou Honghua Decoction Combined With Huoluo Xiaoling Dan In The Treating Postherpetic Neuralgia

Purpose: To observe the clinical efficacy of Gualou Honghua decoction combined with Huoluo Xiaoling Dan in the treatment of postherpetic neuralgia of qi stagnation and blood stasis type,and to evaluate the pain degree,pain duration,sleep improvement and therapeutic effect before and after treatment.Method: 70 patients with postherpetic neuralgia of qi stagnation and blood stasis were divided into treatment group(n = 35)and control group(n = 35).The treatment group was treated with Gualou Honghua decoction combined with Huoluo Xiaolingdan Jiawei Water decoction,and the control group was treated with Xuefuzhuyu capsule.The course of treatment of the two groups was for four weeks,and they were revisited once a week.The pain degree(VAS score),pain duration(pain duration score),sleep(PSQI score)and adverse reactions of the two groups were observed and recorded before and 4 weeks after treatment.After the completion of the study,the recorded scores were statistically analyzed and the curative effect was evaluated.Result: A total of 68 patients completed the trial,including 34 patients in the treatment group and 34 patients in the control group.Through clinical observation and statistical analysis of data,the results show that: 1.There is no significant difference in the basic data between the two groups before treatment,which is comparable;2.After treatment,the VAS score,pain duration score and PSQI score of the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment.3.The improvement of VAS score,pain duration score and PSQI score in the treatment group was significantly better than that in the control group.The total effective rate of the treatment group was 91.18%,which was higher than that of the control group(73.53%)(P < 0.05).5.There were no serious adverse reactions in both groups.Conclusion: Gualou Honghua decoction combined with Huoluo Xiaoling Dan can significantly improve the pain degree,pain duration and sleep condition of patients with postherpetic neuralgia,and it is safe.
