Objective:To research the therapeutic effectiveness of combining Huoluo Xiaoling Dan Decoction combined with ultrasonic therapy for stage Ⅰ-Ⅱ rotator cuff injuries,to provide a foundation for investigating more effective and secure therapeutic therapy alternatives for this illness. Methods:From January 2022 to December 2022,all patients who visited the Department of Bone, joint, and sports medicine at Fujian University of Chinese Medicine’s Fuzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine served as the research cases.A total of 66 patients, aged 20 to 65,who satisfied the diagnostic criteria for a rotator cuff injury and whose Neer stage related to stage I or II,were gathered for the research. The patients were randomized into two groups at random, with 33 cases in the experimental group and 33 cases in the control group;the control group was treated with ultrasonic therapy alone, and the experimental group was treated with Huoluo Xiaoling Dan Decoction combined with ultrasound. The data were statistically analyzed using SPSS23.0 to determine the overall clinical efficacy of the two groups. The VAS score,UCLA score, and shoulder mobility ROM(forward flexion, abduction, and external rotation)were observed before treatment, after 2 weeks of treatment, and after 4 weeks of treatment. To compare the overall clinical outcomes of the two groups, the data were statistically analyzed using SPSS23.0.Results:1.There was no statistical difference in age, gender, duration of disease, affected side,VAS score,UCLA score, and shoulder ROM mobility between the two included groups before treatment(P>0.05),which was comparable.2.Comparison of VAS score resultsAt every time point, there was a statistically significant difference in VAS scores between the test and control groups(P<0.05)as well as between the two groups. Both the test group and the control group experienced more pain relief thanks to the treatments, and the test group experienced greater effectiveness than the control group.3.Comparison of UCLA score resultsThere was a statistically significant difference in UCLA scores between the test and control groups at each time point(P<0.05).The interventions in both the test and control groups were effective in improving shoulder joint function, and the test group was more effective than the control group.4.Comparison of shoulder joint mobility resultsThere was a statistically significant difference in shoulder mobility between the test and control groups at each time point(P<0.05).Both the test group and the control group had efficacy in improving shoulder mobility, and the efficacy of the test group was better than that of the control group.5.Comparison of overall effective rateThe cure rate of the test group was 39.4%,the improvement rate was 51.5%,and the failure rate was 9.1%,with an overall effective rate of 90.9%.In the control group, the cure rate was18.8%,the improvement rate was 59.3%,the invalid rate was 21.9%,and the total effective rate was 78.1%.The clinical efficacy of the test group was better than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:For patients with stage Ⅰ-Ⅱ rotator cuff injuries(blood stasis and qi stagnation type)," Huoluo Xiaoling Dan Decoction combined with ultrasonic therapy " is more effective than "ultrasound" alone in reducing pain, restoring shoulder function, and increasing shoulder mobility.
