| [Objectives]1.To evaluate the family burden and health status of caregivers’ for patients with anorexia nervosa.2.To explore and formulate the treatment scheme of caregivers’ supportive group for patients with anorexia nervosa suitable for clinical application.3.To evaluate the effectiveness of the caregivers’ supportive group for patients with anorexia nervosa in reducing the family burden of caregivers’ and improving the efficacy for patients with anorexia nervosa.[Methods]1.Samples from August 2017 to November 2018 Patients with anorexia nervosa and their caregivers who visited Shanghai Mental Health Center in May were divided into two groups: caregivers’ supportive group(Supportive group)and routine outpatient therapy group(The routine therapy group). The supportive group was treated 10 times according to semi-structured treatment scheme, and the routine therapy group was mainly treated with psychiatric interview, nutritional and supportive counseling. The related indexes were evaluated at baseline,4weekends,8 weekends,12 weekends,24 weekends and 36 weekends respectively.2.The total scores of patients’ body weight, body mass index, caregiver’s Family Burden Scale,Anxiety Scale,Beck Depression Scale and Health Status Questionnaire were used to evaluate the caregiver’s family burden, anxiety, depression and health status. The main outcome measures were the family burden, anxiety and depression for caregivers for patients with anorexia nervosa, and the secondary outcome measures were the body weight, body mass index for patients with anorexia nervosa.3.This project uses FBT,supportive group treatment, training of care skills, emotional guidance, emotional support, etc.,so as to reduce the burden of caregivers and improve the symptoms for patients with anorexia nervosa.4.The original data of this study was processed by SPSS 20.0.In this study, chi square test,t-test of two independent samples and ANOVA of repeated measurements were used.[Results]1.The total of 42 patients,76 caregivers were included in this study, and there were 39 caregivers in the supportive group and 37 caregivers in the outpatient routine therapy group. There was no significant difference between the two groups in basic demographic data such as gender, education time, family monthly income and age.2.Compared with the routine outpatient group,The supportive group can significantly reduce the family burden of caregivers(F = 5.594,p =0.021;F = 24.558,p = 0.000)and improve the depression of caregivers during the treatment(F = 39.222,p = 0.000;F = 53.237,p =0.000),significantly increase the weight of patients(F = 8.636,p = 0.001)and body mass index(F = 7.442,p = 0.003).At the same time, there were significant differences in physical functioning,role-physical,bodily pain, general health,vitality,role-emotional and mental health of the caregivers in the supportive group(p < 0.05).3.In terms of feasibility,17.78% of the patients in the supportive group were less than 24.65% in the routine therapy group. There was no significant difference between the two groups(p>0.05).[Conclusions]1.Compared with the routine therapy group,The caregivers’ supportive group can significantly improve the caregiver’s family burden and depression, and indirectly improve the patient’s weight and body mass index.2.It is feasible to carry out caregivers’ supportive group for patients with anorexia nervosa in China. |
