Objective:This study judged the Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)constitution in patients with chronic hepatitis B(CHB)and detected the distribution of meridians in TCM,and explored the relationship between the TCM constitution and the distribution of meridians in CHB.Provide a basis for the external treatment of TCM to adjust the balance of the meridian of the body, improve the biased physique, and assist in the treatment of CHB.Methods:Select 330 CHB cases from the Liver Disease Center of Xiamen Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from October 2018 to June 2020,conduct a TCM physique questionnaire survey and conduct TCM meridian testing, and collect their general data, physical and chemical examination indicators, and TCM meridian testing related indicators.Analyze the relationship of 330 CHB patients with TCM constitution, physical and chemical indicators, and TCM meridian testing related indicators.Results:1.The top three TCM constitutions of 330 CHB patients were Dampness-heat type(24.55%),Qi-depression type(21.82%),Qi-deficiency type(18.79%),followed by Gentleness type(12.42%),and Phlegm-dampness type(9.70%),Yang-deficiency type(5.76%),Blood-stasis type(3.94%),Yin-deficiency type(3.03%).2.The constitution of TCM of 330 CHB patients was statistically different in different genders(P=0.007).The physique of men was mainly Dampness-heat type(28.71%),and the physique of women was mainly Qi-depression type(25.78%).3.The distribution of TCM constitution of 330 CHB patients in different age groups was statistically significant(P=0.001).Among them, the youth group was mainly Dampness-heat type(27.61%),and the middle-aged and elderly groups were mainly Qi-deficiency type(accounting for The ratios are 22.22% and 50.00% respectively).4.There were no statistically significant differences in the course of the 330 CHB patients with different constitution types and the levels of Hepatitis B virus DNA(HBV DNA)(P>0.05).5.The highest frequency of abnormal meridian in 330 CHB patients was the spleen meridian(abnormal rate 73.64%),followed by liver meridian(abnormal rate 66.97%)and gall-bladder meridian(abnormal rate 65.15%).6.The distribution of abnormal meridians of different constitution types of CHB patients, physical energy(vitality state),yin/yang(metabolic state),upper/lower(mental nerve activity state),left/right(muscles and bones state),maximum/minimum(autonomic nerve function state)is statistically significant(P<0.05).Among the main pathological constitution types, the main abnormal meridians of Dampness-heat type are the gallbladder meridian(14.61%)and the liver meridian(14.20%);the main abnormal meridians of Qi-depression type are the liver meridian(16.57%)and the gallbladder meridian(16.57%);the main abnormal meridians of Qi-deficiency type are the spleen meridian(18.31%)and the kidney meridian(14.58%).The physical energy(vitality state)of each constitution is sorted as follows: Dampness-heat type >Gentleness type > Yin-deficiency type > Blood-stasis type > Qi-depression type >Phlegm-dampness type > Qi-deficiency type > Yang-deficiency type.CHB patients have higher yin/yang(metabolic state)values for Phlegm-dampness type and Yang-deficiency type, while yin/yang(metabolic state)values for Yin-deficiency type are the lowest. In CHB patients, the upper/lower values(mental nerve activity state)of Yin-deficiency type and Dampness-heat type are higher than the upper limit of normal(ULN).CHB patients with Yin-deficiency type have the highest left/right(muscles and bones state)and Blood-stasis type has the lowest value, but both are within the normal range. The maximum/minimum(autonomic nerve function state)value of CHB patients with Yang-deficiency type is the highest. Conclusions:The distribution of CHB patients with different TCM constitutions was different in gender, age, abnormal meridians, physical energy(vitality state),Yin/Yang(metabolic state),upper/lower(mental nerve activity state),left/right(muscle and bone state),and maximum/minimum(autonomic nerve function state).Clinically,it is expected to regulate the state of zang-fu organs, meridians,Yin,Yang,qi and blood, improve pathological constitution types and improve the therapeutic effect of CHB through TCM external treatment.
