Objective: To observe the effects of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)Invigorating Blood and Detoxifying Decoction on postoperative pain,TCM symptoms and inflammation indexs after thoracolumbar fracture surgery,and evaluate its curative effects.Methods: Collecting a total of 70 patients with thoracolumbar fracture hospitalized in Henan Orthopaedic Hospital from December 2018 to December 2019,who met the inclusion criteria,meanwhile,the author randomly divided them into an experimental group(n=35)and a control group(n=35).The control group was given routine treatment,while the experimental group was treated with Invigorating Blood and Detoxifying Decoction on the basis of routine treatment.Having observed and recorded the scores of pain visual analogue scale(VAS)on the 1st,4th and 8th days after surgery,TCM syndrome scores before and after treatment,and the changes of inflammation indexes of C-reactive protein(CRP),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and interleukin-1 β(IL-1β)in blood on the 1st,4th and 8th days after surgery,all the data then is submitted to statistical analysis tool to evaluate the effect of Invigorating Blood and Detoxifying Decoction on postoperative pain and inflammation index after thoracolumbar fracture surgery and its clinical curative effect.Results: 1.The analysis results of general data and some indexes before treatment indicate that: there was no significant difference in age,gender,operation time,intraoperative blood loss and TCM syndrome scores between the two groups(P>0.05),which means that the baseline between the two groups is balanced and the result are comparable.2.There was a statistical difference of time effect(F=315.398,P=0.000<0.05)in the comparison of VAS on different time points in two groups,but no group effect(F=3.069,P=0.083>0.05)and interaction effect(F=2.124,P=0.122>0.05)in the two groups.The contents of VAS presented a time-dependent decreasing trend in both two groups,while the two groups were inconsistent with each other in the variation tendency,and the difference between the groups on the 8th day after the operation was significant(P<0.05).3.After the treatment,the scores of pain,swelling,thirst,red urine,constipation and total score of TCM symptoms in the experimental group all decreased,compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),but there was no statistical difference in the scores of pain and red urine before and after treatment in the control group(P>0.05).In a word,the experimental group was superior to the control group in improving pain,constipation and the total score of TCM symptoms(P<0.05).4.The contents of CRP,TNF-α and IL-1 β in the blood of both groups on the 1st,4th and 8th days after surgery were repeatedly measured and conducted analysis of variance,indicating the existence of time effect(F=272.341,P=0.000 <0.05)and group effect(F=4.648,P=0.035<0.05)but no interaction effect(F=3.008,P=0.057>0.05)in the comparison of CRP on different time points between two groups.The contents of CRP presented a time-dependent decreasing trend in both two groups,while the two groups were inconsistent with each other in the variation tendency,and the difference between the groups on the 4th and 8th days after the operation was significant(P<0.05).There was a statistical difference of time effect(F=25.832,P=0.000<0.05)in the comparison of TNF-α on different time points in two groups,but no group effect(F=1.272,P=0.264>0.05)and interaction effect(F=0.460,P=0.633>0.05)in the two groups.The contents of TNF-αpresented a time-dependent decreasing trend in both two groups,while the two groups were inconsistent with each other in the variation tendency,and the difference between the groups on the 8th day after the operation was significant(P<0.05).There was a statistical difference of time effect(F=41.251P=0.000<0.05)in the comparison of IL-1β on different time points in two groups,but no group effect(F=1.093,P=0.300>0.05)and interaction effect(F=1.088,P=0.344>0.05)in the two groups.The contents of IL-1βpresented a time-dependent decreasing trend in both groups,there was no significant difference between the groups on the 1st,4th and 8th days after the operation(P>0.05).Conclusions: Invigorating Blood and Detoxifying Decoction can effectively ameliorate the postoperative pain and the clinical symptoms,reduce the expression of inflammatory indexes in the blood of patients with thoracolumbar fracture after surgery and inhibit excessive release of inflammatory factors,thus facilitating postoperative patients recover from surgery.
