Clinical Observation Of Qibao Meiran Dan Combined With Fire-Acupuncture In Treatment Of Liver And Kidney Deficiency Of Mild To Moderate Alopecia Areata

ObjectiveTo observe the effects of Qibao Meiran Dan combined with Fire-acupuncture on the area of alopecia areata,alopecia syndrome,TCM clinical symptoms and quality of life in patients with liver and kidney deficiency of mild to moderate alopecia areata.Discuss the therapeutic effect and difference of the combination of acupuncture and medicine,Qibao Meiran Dan in treating patients with liver and kidney deficiency of mild to moderate alopecia areata.MethodsThe 66 patients with liver and kidney deficiency mild to moderate alopecia areata who met the selection criteria were randomly divided into acupuncture and medicine group(33 cases)and control group(33 cases)by random number table method.The acupuncture and medicine group used oral Chinese medicine decoction(Qibao Meiran Dan)combined with fire-acupuncture method,Chinese medicine decoction 1 dose a day,fire-acupuncture 1 times a week.The control group only oral Chinese medicine decoction(Qibao Meiran Dan),Chinese medicine decoction 1 dose a day.The curative effect was observed for 6 weeks,and the treatment effect was evaluated according to the changes in the scores of the area of alopecia areata,alopecia syndrome,TCM clinical symptoms and DLQI of the two groups of patients before and after treatment.Finally,whether there are adverse reactions in the treatment process of patients in this study was counted to evaluate the safety of this treatment plan.Results1.The study actually collected and completed 66 cases(33 cases in the acupuncture and medicine group and 33 cases in the control group).Before treatment,the general conditions of the two groups of patients(gender,age,course of disease,total area of alopecia areata and severity of alopecia areata)were compared,and there was no significant difference(P>0.05),and they were comparable.2.Comparison of alopecia areata scores and clinical efficacy:Comparisons are made based on the changes in the scores of the patient’s alopecia areata area score and alopecia syndrome scores before and after treatment.After 6 weeks of treatment,the total number of effective cases in the acupuncture and medicine group were healed 3,markedly effective 8,effective 18,and the total effective rate was 87.88%.The total effective number of effective cases in the control group were healed 1,markedly effective 3,effective 20,and the total effective rate was 72.73%.There was a significant difference(P<0.05),which proves that Qibao Meiran Dan was effective in treating patients with liver and kidney deficiency of mild to moderate alopecia areata,and the curative effect of the combination of acupuncture and medicine group was higher than that of simple Qibao Meiran Dan group.3.Comparison of TCM clinical symptom scores:After 6 weeks of treatment,the scores of the two groups of patients were lower than before treatment,and there was a very significant difference between the groups(P<0.01),which proved that Qibao Meiran Dan can effectively improve the TCM clinical symptoms of patients with liver and kidney deficiency of alopecia areata.After treatment,there was a significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05),indicating that the combination of acupuncture and medicine group improved the TCM clinical symptoms better than the simple Qibao Meiran Dan group.4.Comparison of DLQI scores:After 6 weeks of treatment,the quality of life scores of the acupuncture and medicine group and the control group were lower than before treatment.There was a very significant difference between the groups(P<0.01),which proved that Qibao Meiran Dan can effectively improve the lives of patients with mild to moderate alopecia areata Quality.After treatment,there was a significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05),which proves that the combination of acupuncture and medicine group can improve the DLQI of patients better than the simple Qibao Meiran Dan group.ConclusionQibao Meiran Dan has clinical curative effect in treating patients with liver and kidney deficiency of mild to moderate alopecia areata.And Qibao Meiran Dan combined with fireacupuncture has a more obvious clinical therapeutic effect than the simple Qibao Meiran Dan group.Both the Qibao Meiran Dan combined with fire-acupuncture and the simple Qibao Meiran Dan can improve the TCM clinical symptoms and patients’ DLQI to a certain extent.There were no obvious adverse reactions in patients in this study,which proves it was a safe and effective treatment plan.
