Objective: To collect the data of TCM syndrome classification, general condition, correlation between syndrome and disease activity(total activity, clinical manifestations, inflammatory indicators),other laboratory indicators of osteoarthritis(OA)patients, and to statistically analyze the correlation between TCM syndrome and above. Methods: The patients who met the inclusion criteria in the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from 2018 to 2020 were collected, and the correlation between TCM syndrome types and clinical manifestations of Western medicine was analyzed by questionnaire survey. The data was used to establish a database containing all the survey items by Excel2019,and the data were processed and analyzed by SPSS 25.0after the data were derived.Result:1.Among the 209 included patients, all were OA patients with disease activity and TCM syndromes were divided into five types according to the Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Osteoarthritis(2007 edition). The correlation between TCM syndromes and their clinical manifestations was analyzed.2.Patients with different syndromes had significant differences in age, course of disease, body mass index, working intensity, joint cold and heat, joint stiffness, joint swelling, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, hemoglobin, total protein and X-ray grade(P < 0.01),and patients with different syndromes had differences in CRP,albumin and glucose(P < 0.05).3.Patients with different syndromes had significant differences in Koos-pain score and Koos-symptom score(P < 0.01),and visual analogue scale(VAS)had significant differences(P < 0.05).Conclusion:According to the study, patients with deficiency of liver and kidney syndrome accounted for the highest proportion in osteoarthritis. The patients with deficiency of qi and blood were the oldest and the course of disease was the longest.Their hemoglobin was significantly lower than the other four syndromes, and the values of total protein and albumin were lower. Therefore, close attention should be paid to the nutritional status of patients in clinical prevention and treatment.Patients with dampness-heat obstruction have the youngest age and the shortest course of disease, and the symptoms of joint fever and swelling are the most. Therefore, attention should be paid to improving joint symptoms to prevent disease change.ESR and CRP were higher than those of the other four syndromes. Therefore, attention should be paid to improving the condition of joint inflammation in patients during clinical treatment. The chills of patients with cold and dampness obstruction syndrome are obviously more than those of other syndromes.Clinically,we should pay attention to keeping warm.
