Clinical Study On Treating Children’s Functional Constipation With Self-Made "Runchang Tongbian Paster"

Objective:To explore the efficacy and advantages of self-made "Runchang Tongbian Patch" in the treatment of children’s functional constipation,so as to provide more abundant theoretical basis and new ideas for clinical treatment of children’s functional constipation.Methods:From November 2019 to October 2020,200 children with functional constipation aged from 1 to 7 years were selected as the research objects,and the children who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into two groups:the application group and the control group with 100 cases each.Control group:The children were only given lifestyle management treatment,including defecation habit training,diet habit management,exercise management,psychological education,abdominal massage and home care,and stopped taking other drugs during treatment.Application group:On the basis of the control group,the children were treated with self-made "Runchang Tongbian paste".The "Runchang Tongbian Patch" consists of Rhizoma Atractylodis,Radix Rehmanniae and Cortex Magnolia Officinalis 10 g each,and Radix Paeoniae Alba,Semen Armeniacae Amarum,Fructus Aurantii Immaturus,Fructus Cannabis and Glycyrrhrizae Radix 6g each.Each time it is applied for 6-8 hours,once a day,6 days is a course of treatment,4 courses are used continuously,and the interval between the two courses is 1 day.Before treatment and at the end of the whole course of treatment,fill in the self-made children’s functional constipation symptom scale,accurately record the improvement of children’s constipation and the scores of various observation indexes of children in each group,observe and compare the curative effects of the application group and the control group,and follow up three months after the end of the course of treatment,and finally draw a conclusion.Results:1.Both the application group and the control group have obvious effects on improving children’s functional constipation.The total effective rates of the application group and the control group are 81.63% and 73.20%respectively,and the application group is superior to the control group in treatment effect(P<0.05).2.By analyzing single symptoms,it was found that compared with the control group,the application group was more effective in improving dry stool,long defecation time,strenuous defecation,abdominal distension or abdominal pain,constipation with anal fissure and hematochezia.3.After three months of drug discontinuation,the effective children in the two groups were followed up.The recurrence rate of the application group was 19.48%,while that of the control group was 42.86%.After statistical analysis,the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).In the long-term recurrence rate,the application group was superior to the control group.Conclusion:Self-made "Runchang Tongbian Patch" has a good curative effect in the treatment of children’s functional constipation and the recurrence rate is low after treatment.Besides,it is more simple,effective,with higher compliance and low cost.It is more acceptable to children and parents,and worthy of further clinical promotion.
