Clinical Study On Acupoint Application Of Runchang Tongbian Plaster In The Treatment Of Functional Constipation

Objects:By researching and summarizing the articles of traditional Chinese medicine in acupoint application therapy and acupoints for treating FC.After screening of traditional Chinese medicine prescription,acupoints and pre-test efficacy verification,Finally,we concluded the optimized acupoint prescription and the composition of Runchang Tongbian application therapy.In this study,we aimed to observe the efficacy “Runchang Tongbian application therapy” to provide research evidences for the clinical application of “Runchang Tongbian application therapy” in the treatment of FC.Methods:Firstly,we searched the published articles on acupoints application treatment of FC from 2001 to June of 2020 from CNKI,CBM,Wanfang,VIP,Pub Med and Ovid Foreign Language Database.After excluding the articles of experience introduction,review,case,repeated publication and incomplete information,228 articles were admitted finally.Through researching key words,summarizing the application medicine,application medium,application time and period of treatment were summarized.Finally,we concluded the optimized acupoint prescription and the composition of Runchang Tongbian acupoint application therapy.Patients with FC were randomly divided into group A(Runchang Tongbian acupoint application group)and group B(placebo acupoint application group),of which 35 patients were assigned in group A and 35 patients were included in group B.Both group received total 12 sessions of acupoint application treatment in four weeks.We used the CSBMs(Complete Spontaneous Bowel Movements,CSBMs),Bristol(Bristol stool form scale,BSFS),PAC-SYM(Patient Assessment of Constipation Symptoms,PAC-SYM)as endpoints to evaluate the clinical efficacy of acupoint application.To evaluate the improvement of FC patients’ symptoms before and after treatment with Runchang Tongbian plaster.All clinical data collected from the study were analyzed and processed by the independent statisticians or institutions.Clinical data in the study were anallized by the software of SPSS statistics 26.0.Results:1.The data of 70 FC patients included in this study met the analysis requirements and were included in the analysis.2.Drug application formula and acupoint treatment planFormulas: Rhubarb,Borneol,Fructus Aurantii Immaturus,Magnolia Officinalis,Radix Atractylodis Macrocephalae,Honey(medium)Acupoints: Tianshu,Shangjuxu,Zusanli,Dachangshu,Zhongwan,Shenque3.Therapeutic effect of acupoint application on FC patients(1)There was no significant difference in baseline between the group A and group B(P> 0.05).(2)The results of intra group comparison showed that: compared with before application,CSBMs score(P < 0.05),bsfs score(P < 0.05)and pac-sym score(P < 0.05)were significantly reduced in the group A;(3)The results of comparison between groups showed that compared with group B,group A could significantly improve CSBMs score(P < 0.05),BSFS score(P < 0.05)and PAC-SYM score(P < 0.05).Conclusions:Runchang Tongbian acupoint application therapy is a convenient and effective method to treat FC patients.
