| Objective:To observe the clinical effect and safety of "Liu’s traumatology" tendon manipulation in the treatment of patellofemora osteoarthritis(PFOA),and preliminarily exploring the clinical value of "Liu’s traumatology" tendon manipulation for PFOA.Method:60 patients with PFOA were randomly divided into three groups:group A(n=20)was treated with resistance training of quadriceps femoris;group B(n=20)was treated with oral loxoprofen sodium combined with resistance training of quadriceps femoris;group C(n=20)was treated with,"Liu’s traumatology" tendon manipulation combined with resistance training of quadriceps femoris for 3 weeks.The VAS score,Lysholm score,patella inclination angle,patella fit angle and slope walking time were observed and recorded before and after treatment,and the clinical efficacy of the three groups was evaluated and compared.Result:1.There were 2 patients who could not complete the observation because of poor compliance,unable to actively cooperate with the treatment or using other treatments during the treatment,including 1 case in group A,1 case in group B.The study was finally completed and followed up with 19 cases in group A,19 cases in group B and 20 cases in group C.There was no significant difference in age,gender,knee position and onset time among the three groups(P>0.05).2.VAS score:① there was no significant difference in VAS score among the three groups before treatment(P>0.05);② the VAS score of the three groups after treatment was significantly lower than that before treatment(P<0.05);③ after treatment,the VAS score of group B and group C was significantly lower than that of group A(P<0.05),while the improvement of VAS score of group B and group C was similar(P>0.05))。3.Lysholm score:① before treatment,there was no significant difference in Lysholm score among the three groups(P>0.05);② before and after treatment,Lysholm score in the three groups was higher than that before treatment(P<0.05);③ after treatment,Lysholm score in group C was significantly higher than that in group A and group B(P<0.05),while Lysholm score in group A and group B was improved 05).4.Patellofemoral joint parameters:①there was no significant difference in patella tilt angle and fit angle among the three groups before treatment(P>0.05);②there was no significant difference in patella tilt angle and fit angle among the three groups before and after treatment(P>0.05);5.Slope walking time test:① there was no significant difference in slope walking time among the three groups before treatment(P>0.05);②the slope walking time of the three groups after treatment was decreased compared with that before treatment(P<0.05).③ After treatment,the improvement of slope walking time in the three groups was similar(P>0.05).6.Adverse reactions:in the course of this study,there was no obvious systemic or local discomfort in group A and group C during the treatment and observation.Two patients in group B developed slight nausea and acid regurgitation one week after taking the medicine.Considering the side effects of NSAIDs,the patients were asked to adjust the medication time to avoid taking the medicine on an empty stomach.The discomfort symptoms of the latter two patients were relieved and the treatment was finally completed.Conclusion:1.The treatment of group A,B and C can improve the knee VAS score and Lysholm score of patients with PFOA,improve the slope walking ability of patients,but have no significant effect on the patellar inclination angle and patellar fit angle.2."Liu’s traumatology" tendon manipulation is equivalent to oral loxoprofen sodium in relieving knee pain,but it has more advantages than oral loxoprofen sodium in improving knee function.3."Liu’s traumatology" tendon manipulation in the treatment of PFOA has definite curative effect and good safety.It can significantly reduce the pain of the knee joint,improve the function of the knee joint and enhance the exercise ability of the patients,which is worthy of further research and promotion. |
