Clinical Effect Of Qingdushenjin Formula With Zhuang Medicine In Treatment Of Rheumatoid Arthritis

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of Qingdushenjin decoction in the treatment of Rheumatoid arthritis(RA)by observing the clinical efficacy.Methods: Sixty inpatient and outpatient patients with RA were treated at the department of Rheumatology from Guangxi International Zhuang medical hospital who were used table of random numberrandom divided into treatment group and control group,30 cases in each group.The control group was treated with methotrexate(10mg/week),diclofenac sodium double release enteric capsules tablets(75mg/day),and the treatment group was treated with Qingdushenjin decoction on the basis of the above control group.Formulas basic composition: Honeysuckle 20 g,Zhongjiefeng 20 g,Jiubiying 20 g,Qingfengteng 15 g,Shenjincao 15 g,Liangmianzhen 15 g,Jixueteng 15 g.Mianjian granules,1 bag each time,2 times a day,with warm water after breakfast and dinner,for 4 weeks.To observe the patients’ disease activity indexes such as swollen joint count,tender joint count,Rheumatoid factor(RF),Anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide antibody(CCP),C-reactive protein(CRP),Erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR),Patient’s global assessment of disease activity(PGA),Evaluator’s global assessment of disease activity(EGA),Visual analog screen(VAS),Health Assessment questionnaire(HAQ),Traditional chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome scores,therapeutic effect of Zhuang medicine syndrome,American college of rheumatology 20(ACR20)standard,the safety indexes such as liver function and renal function and adverse reaction were observed before and after treatment.To observe the clinical effect of Qingdushenjin decoction on RA.Results:(1)There was no significant differences in the general condition of each indicator before treatment between the two groups,which were comparable(P>0.05).(2)The results of observation indexes and evaluation index of disease efficacy: after treatment,the number of swollen joint count and tender joint count decreased in both groups.And the number of joint tenderness was significantly different(P<0.01).The HAQ,PGA,EGA and TCM syndrome score in both groups were decreased and has statistically significance after treatment(P<0.05).In terms of improving disease curative effect,therapeutic effect of Zhuang medicine syndrome,ACR20 compliance rate: after treatment,the disease curative effect,therapeutic effect of Zhuang medicine syndrome,ACR20 compliance rate in the control group were 56%,60% and 53%,and the treatment group were 76%,86% and 80%.The treatment group in the the effective rates of Disease curative effect,therapeutic effect of Zhuang medicine syndrome,ACR20 compliance rate was higher than the control group.Both groups difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(3)In the terms of improve laboratory indexes: two groups of laboratory indicators were comparable.Two groups could reduce the levels of CRP,ESR,RF,CCP indexes after treatment with statistical significance(P<0.05).The decrease was more pronounced in the treatment group than the control group.The CCP indexe of the two groups was no statistical difference before treatment(P>0.05).(4)In the terms of safety indicators and adverse reactions: the liver function and renal function of the two groups before and after treatment,was no statistical difference(P>0.05).It indicated that the two groups of treatment did not affect the liver and kidney function of patients.During the treatment,one patient in the treatment group developed diarrhea,mainly manifested as gastrointestinal reactions,and the adverse reaction rate was about 3%.In the control group,Aspartate aminotransferase(AST)was slightly increased in three patients after taking the medicine,and the indexes returned to normal after taking the liver protective medicine,the adverse reaction rate was 10%.Conclusions: The use of Qingdushengjin decoction in the treatment of RA can effectively improve the clinical symptoms and signs of RA patients,and improve their quality of life,and the incidence of adverse reactions during the treatment is low,without obvious toxic and side effects,which is worthy of clinical promotion.
