Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Simple Obesity By Electroacupuncture At Different Depth On Abdomen Acupoint

Purpose The purpose of this study was to observe the effects of different acupuncture depths onabdominal acupoints combined with electrical acupuncture stimulation on simple obesity,evaluate the changes before and after the patient’s related obesity indicators,and compare the differences in the therapeutic effects of acupuncture at different levels of acupuncture depths on abdominal acupoints.To provide a clinical basis for improving the efficacy of acupuncture for weight loss,and to try to explain the mechanism of acupuncture for weight loss from a clinical perspective,and to provide a certain reference for the depth of acupuncture at acupoints in the abdomen.MethodA total of 60 patients were enrolled in this study,and they were divided into two groups,the fat layer electroacupuncture group and the muscle layer electroacupuncture group.The two groups had different acupuncture depths at abdomen points,acupuncture at the fat layer and the muscle layer respectively.The main acupoints on the abdomen are selected from Shuifen,Qihai,Tianshu,and Daheng,and the main acupoints for the limbs are Quchi,Hegu,Zusanli,and Fenglong.The matching points are selected according to the type of syndrome.After acupuncture in the two groups,the acupuncture points on the abdomen were stimulated by electroacupuncture.A pair of electroacupuncture was connected to Tianshu and Daheng on the same side,and a pair of electroacupuncture was connected to Shuifen and Qihai.There were three pairs of electroacupuncture.In principle,the needle should be inserted once every 10 minutes,and the needle should be retained for 30 minutes.There are 3 treatments per week,12 treatments per course,3 courses in total.Observe and record the changes of various obesity indicators before and after treatment,including body weight,body mass index(BMI),circumference,skinfold thickness,body fat percentage,visceral fat cross-area index(VFA),body water percentage,and compare two in-depth treatments effect.SPSS 26.0 was used for statistical analysis of the data.Result1.Analyze and compare each index before and after treatment in the fat layer electroacupuncture group and the muscle layer electroacupuncture group.After treatment,the weight,BMI,body fat percentage,circumference,water content,VFA,and skinfold thickness of the two groups are respectively All indicators were lower than before treatment(P<0.05),and both acupuncture depths were effective for obesity treatment.2.Analyze and compare each index after treatment in the fat layer electroacupuncture group and the muscle layer electroacupuncture group.After treatment,the two groups have statistics on body weight,BMI,body fat percentage,waist circumference,waist-to-hip ratio,moisture percentage,and VFA.There was a more significant decrease in muscular layer electroacupuncture group(P<0.05);there was no significant difference in chest circumference,hip circumference,thigh circumference,skinfold thickness between the two groups after treatment(P>0.05).3.Analysis and comparison of the difference in obesity index between the fat layer electroacupuncture group and the muscle layer electroacupuncture group after the treatment of the two groups,the weight,BMI,body fat percentage,waist circumference,moisture content,VFA,skinfold thickness difference between the two groups There is a significant difference(P<0.05),and there is no significant difference in the difference of chest circumference,hip circumference,and thigh circumference(P>0.05).ConclusionBoth acupuncture depths are effective for the treatment of simple obesity,and the overall obesity index improvement effect of the deep abdominal muscle layer is better than that of the shallow abdominal fat layer.It shows that the effect of electroacupuncture for weight loss is not simply caused by the movement of local fat.It further supports clinically that electroacupuncture weight loss is mediated by nerves,the body participates in multiple systems,and multiple pathways and multiple targets are coordinated to achieve the weight loss effect.An academic point of view.Two kinds of acupuncture depth for the treatment of simple obesity have effect,abdominal muscle layer deep needling overall obesity index improvement effect is better than abdominal fat layer shallow needling.It shows that the effect of electroacupuncture on weight loss is not only produced by the movement of local fat,which further supports the academic view that electroacupuncture can achieve weight loss effect through nerve mediated,multi system participation,multi-channel and multi-target cooperation.
