Clinical Controlled Study Of Acupuncture With Nourishing Kidney And Strengthening The Body To Improve Endocrine Therapy Of Breast Cancer Patients With Hot Flashes

Objective:1.To observe the effectiveness of Zishen Guben acupuncture in improving hot flashes in patients with endocrine therapy of breast cancer;2.Explore the effects of acupuncture with the method of nourishing the kidney and strengthening the body on the kidney-yin deficiency syndrome,quality of life and perimenopausal symptoms of patients with breast cancer endocrine therapy.Research method:40 patients with breast cancer hot flashes who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into treatment group and control group.There were 20 patients in each group.The control group was given conventional nursing treatment,and the treatment group was treated with acupuncture for nourishing the kidney and strengthening the body on the basis of the control group.The study period is 10 weeks.At the time of enrollment,the 5th week of treatment,and the 10th week of treatment,the two groups of patients are required to fill in the daily hot flash diary;at the time of enrollment and 10 weeks of treatment,the patients are required to fill in the Kidney Yin Deficiency Syndrome Scale,the Breast Cancer Function Assessment Scale(FACT-B),and the Cancer Treatment-Endocrine Subscale(FACT-ES).After the study,the scores of all scales were statistically analyzed,and the curative effect was evaluated.Record adverse reactions during treatment.Results:1.The frequency and severity of hot flashes:At the 5th week of treatment,the number and severity of hot flashes were improved in both groups compared with before and after treatment.The results showed that the two groups had the same efficacy in reducing the frequency and degree of hot flashes(P>0.05).At the 10th week of treatment,the number of hot flashes and the degree of hot flashes were improved in the two groups compared with before and after treatment.Comparison between the groups found that the therapeutic effect of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group(P<0.05),and the Zishen Guben method had advantages in acupuncture treatment.2.Kidney Yin Deficiency Syndrome:After 10 weeks of treatment,the total score of kidney-yin deficiency in both groups decreased compared with before treatment(P<0.05),indicating that the symptoms of kidney Yin deficiency in both groups were improved.The total effective rate of the treatment group was 75%,and that of the control group was only 40%,indicating that the treatment group was significantly better than the control group in the overall improvement of the syndrome of kidney yin deficiency,and the method of nourishing the kidney and strengthening the foundation had obvious advantages.Compared with the control group,the treatment group was superior to the control group in improving hot flashes and sweating,soreness and weakness of waist and knees,five frustrating heat,insomnia and dreaminess,especially insomnia and dreaminess.3.Quality of life:At the 10th week of treatment,compared with before and after treatment,the scores of each dimension in the two groups were improved(P<0.05).The results showed that the treatment group was better than the control group in improving the physiological status,social/family status,emotional status and additional attention dimension;The acupuncture treatment of Zishen Guben method has advantages;But in improving the functional status,the two groups were equally effective.4.Perimenopausal symptoms:At the 10th week of treatment,the symptoms of vaginal symptoms,weight gain,diarrhea and joint pain were not improved in the treatment group;comparison before and after treatment in the control group found that the symptoms of vaginal symptoms,sexual life quality,weight gain,dizziness,nausea,diarrhea,headache,and joint pain did not improve.The results showed that the treatment group was superior to the control group in improving the quality of sexual life,dizziness,nausea,headache,body distension,(healthy side)breast sensitivity or tenderness,emotional ups and downs,irritable mood items,acupuncture with Zishen Guben method has advantages.There was no improvement in vaginal symptoms,weight gain,diarrhea or arthralgia in either group.Conclusion:Acupuncture with Nourishing Kidney and Guben Method can significantly improve the symptoms of hot flashes in breast cancer patients undergoing endocrine therapy.In addition,it can also improve the overall kidney-yin deficiency syndrome and alleviate some perimenopausal symptoms,and improve the quality of life of breast cancer patients undergoing endocrine therapy to a certain extent.
