Objective:To describe compliance status quo of endocrine therapy in breast cancer patients. To compare three different approaches on the outcome of compliance measurement in patients with breast cancer endocrine therapy. To find out the best way to evaluate the compliance of the patients with breast cancer endocrine therapy. To establish monitoring methods for blood concentration of tamoxifen, anastrozole, and letrozole. Methods:The method of sampling went to convient sampling, and a total of 68 breast cancer patients receiving endocrine therapy after surgery at the First Hospital of China Medical University were selected. The demographic data and disease related information was investgated by self-designed general information questionnaire.Drug compliance questionnaire Morisky(MMAS-8),blood concentration test and residual tablet count were used to evaluate the status of drug compliance in breast cancer patients with endocrine therapy.SPSS20.0 software was used for data entry and statistical analysis. The basic data of patients are described by frequency, percentage, maximum, minimum, median, upper four quantile spacing, and lower four digits. In the statistical analysis, the count data were statistically analyzed using multiple independent sample rank sum tests;the correlations among the three measurement methods were statistically analyzed using Spearman rank correlation, and statistical tests were performed using two-sided probabilistic tests, with a=0.05 being statistically significant.Results:1.The compliance rates of taking medicine for ≦6、7~12、13~18 and 19~24were70.8%,41.2%,25% and 26.7%,respectively.2.Medication types have no effect on drug compliance at different time periods.3.Comparison of three methods by Spearman’s rank correlation found that the Morisky medication adherence questionnaire(MMAS-8)is consistent with the remaining tablet count method,r=0.56,p<0.001.4.The linear ranges of tamoxifen, anastrozole and letrozole were all 1 to 1000 ng/m L,and the lower limit of quantitation was 1 ng/m L,which can meet the needs of quantitative detection of sample concentrations. The method is stable and highly specific.Conclusion:1.The compliance of patients with medication at different time periods differs. With the prolongation of medication time, the adherence rate of medication gradually decreases.we can use patients who have taken medication for 0.5~1 years to intervent,to improve the adherence rate of patients..2.The Morisky medication adherence questionnaire(MMAS-8)has a good agreement with the remaining tablet count method.3.When selecting measurement tools,a combination of subjective and objective methods can be used according to research needs: the Morisky medication adherence questionnaire and the remaining tablet count method are used to measure simultaneously;at the same time, the patient’s blood drug is monitored when conditions permit.Concentration helps to strengthen the supervision of drug compliance in patients with breast cancer endocrine therapy4.To establish the method of detection of anastrozole, tamoxifen, letrozole three blood drug concentration can be used as a effective tool for clinical workers evaluation of endocrine therapy for breast cancer patients with medication compliance, has good practicality and value.
