Objective:To the investigate the COPD caregivers’ health literacy, caring ability and patients’ pulmonary rehabilitation status,to understand the current situation of COPD caregivers’ health literacy, caring ability and patients’ pulmonary rehabilitation status,to analyze the differences in general data of COPD caregivers’ health literacy, caring ability and patients’ pulmonary rehabilitation status,to explore the effects of caregivers’ health literacy and caring ability on patients’ pulmonary rehabilitation status. From the perspective of caregivers, this paper aims to improve the health literacy and care ability of caregivers, improve the pulmonary function of COPD patients, and provide reference for improving the activity endurance and quality of life of patients. Methods:This study belongs to correlation study among non-experimental research.Convenient sampling method was used to select 238 caregivers of COPD patients in respiratory department of a three A-grade general hospital in J Province from February to October 2020 as the research objects. The general information questionnaire of caregivers of COPD patients, pulmonary disease health literacy scale(COPD-Q)and family care test inventory(FCTI)of Chinese version, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease assessment test(CAT),and BODE index were used as research tools.T-test,one-way ANOVA,Pearson correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis were used to analyze the data using SPSS 26.0 statistical software.Results:(1)General information of the research object: the average age of the research object is(55.78±12.35)years old, more than half(75.2%)for the female caregivers,230(96.6%)cases have a spouse,195(81.9%)live in city,44(18.5%)have college degree or above, more than 180(75.6%)cases were not working,49(20.6%)have monthly income of 3500 More than RMB.(2)Health literacy status of research objects: the average score of health literacy was 6.03±2.676,and there are significant differences in different habitation places, education level, person monthly income of family, whether the patients inhaled oxygen at home, whether the operation of oxygen at home was standardized, and whether there were related consulting factors on the dietary nutrition of patients, and the differences were statistically significant(p<0.05).(3)Current situation of care ability of the subjects:The average score of caring ability was 15.72±10.259,and there were significant differences in different habitation places, education level, family person monthly income, willingness to care, chronic diseases or not and related consulting factors of dietary nutrition status(p<0.05).(4)Pulmonary rehabilitation status of COPD patients:The average score of CAT was 19.06±7.008,and the average score of BODE index was 4.83±1.954.There were significant differences in the factors of caregivers, such as different marital status, residence, education level, family person monthly income, chronic diseases and diet nutrition status(p<0.05).(5)The relationship between the health literacy and care ability of the subjects and the lung rehabilitation of COPD patients:Pearson correlation analysis showed that the scores of health literacy were negatively correlated with the scores of care ability and pulmonary rehabilitation status(r = 0.573 ~ 0.496,p < 0.001),and the scores of care ability were positively correlated with pulmonary rehabilitation status(r = 0.581 ~0.583,p < 0.001).(6)Effects of health literacy and care ability on pulmonary rehabilitation of COPD patients:Multiple regression analysis showed that the variance of CAT was14.3%(F=4.238,p<0.001)for caregivers’ general information,17.9%(F=10.787,p<0.001)for caregivers’ health literacy, and 10.1%(F=15.059,p<0.001)for caregivers’ caring ability after controlling the influence of general information. The variance of BODE index score was explained by caregivers’ general information 17.8%(F=4.912,p<0.001),after controlling for the influence of general data, the explanatory variation of caregivers’ health literacy was 19.4%(F=12.161,p<0.001),and the explanatory variation of caregivers’ caring ability was 7.7%(F=15.278,p< 0.001).Conclusions:(1)The health literacy of the subjects is at a medium low level. The caregivers who live in the city, have a high education level, have a high person monthly income, think that the patients should take oxygen at home, have a standardized operation of oxygen at home, and have consulted about the diet and nutrition of the patients have a higher level of health literacy.(2)The caring ability of the subjects is at a medium high level. The caregivers who live in the city, have a high education level, have a high family income person, are willing to take care of the patients, have no chronic diseases, and have been consulted about the diet and nutrition of the patients are more capable of taking care of them.(3)The overall pulmonary rehabilitation status of COPD patients is at a medium low level. In the caregiver factors, such as spouse, living in the city, high education level, high family income person,no chronic disease, and having consulted the patient’s diet and nutrition, the patient’s lung rehabilitation status is better.(4)The higher the level of health literacy of COPD patients’ caregivers, the stronger the caring ability; The higher the caregivers’ health literacy level, the better the patients’ pulmonary rehabilitation status; The stronger the caring ability, the better the patient’s pulmonary rehabilitation status.(5)The subjects’ marital status, chronic disease status, health literacy and caring ability were the influencing factors of COPD patients’ pulmonary rehabilitation status.Among them, the level of health literacy and caring ability can positively influence the pulmonary rehabilitation status of patients. |
