| Objective: By understanding the current situation of symptom experience, psychological coherence and subjective well-being of maintenance hemodialysis patients;Clarifying the differences between the three in general information;Analyzing the correlation between the three; And exploring the influence of symptom experience and psychological coherence on subjective well-being,in order to provide theoretical basis and guiding suggestions for clinical nursing workers to improve the subjectivewell-being of maintenancehemodialysis patients. Methods:This study was a descriptive study in a non-experimental study.A total of 253 patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis treatment in the hemodialysis departments of two tertiary care general hospitals in Jilin Province during July to November 2020 were selected by convenience sampling method for questionnaire survey, which included general information questionnaire, overall well-being scale, dialysis symptom assessment scale, and psychological consistency scale.SPSS26.0 software was applied to statistically analyze the collected valid data, and the methods included descriptive analysis,t-test,one-way ANOVA,Pearson correlation analysis, and multiple linear regression analysis.Result:(1)The total mean score of symptom experience in maintenance hemodialysis patients was(79.43±37.17),with a mean frequency of occurrence of(25.68±12.17),a mean severity of(23.25±1.56),and a mean level of distress of(30.50±14.80).The mean score for each entry in the physiological dimension was(2.78±1.22),and the mean score for each entry in the psychological dimension was(1.97±2.02).The average number of symptoms experienced per patient was(10.87±4.66).The differences in symptom experience were statistically significant(P<0.05)across literacy, work status, marital status, per capita monthly household income, medical payment method, age on dialysis, and numberof dialysis sessions perweek.(2)The total mean score of psychological consistency of maintenance hemodialysis patients was(52.60±11.29),which was at a low level. The mean scores of the three dimensions were(16.03±4.62)for sense of controllability,(19.94±4.86)for sense of comprehensibility,and(16.24±3.36)for sense of meaning. The differences in the sense of psychological consistency were statistically significant(P< 0.05)across literacy, work status, marital status, per capita monthly household income, medical payment method, and placeof residence.(3)The mean score of subjective well-being of maintenance hemodialysis patients was(73.44±13.57),which was at a moderate level. The mean scores of the six dimensions were(8.58±2.23)for worry about health;(15.72±4.30)for energy;(6.12 ±2.12)for satisfaction and interest in life;(14.20±3.41)for melancholy and pleasant state of mind;(11.46±2.60)for control of emotions and behavior;(11.46±2.60)for relaxation and tension(17.36±3.52)points.Subjective well-being differed by education level, work status, marital status, per capita monthly family income, medical payment method, and place of residence, and thedifferences were statistically significant(P< 0.05).(4)The symptom experience of maintenance hemodialysis patients was negatively correlated with psychological coherence(r =-0.535,P < 0.01),symptom experience was negatively correlated with subjective well-being(r =-0.556,P < 0.01),and psychological coherence was positively correlated with subjective well-being(r= 0.525,P< 0.01).(5)By multiple linear regression analysis of subjective well-being in maintenance hemodialysis patients, the magnitude of the influencing variables were ranked according to the P value: per capita monthly household income >5000 yuan, divorce or living alone, sense of psychological consistency, and symptom experience were predictive, and the explanation rate of the equation was 41.8%,which wasstatistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:(1)The subjective well-being of maintenance hemodialysis patients was at a moderate level, the psychological consistency was at a low level, and the symptom experience was complex, with most patients experiencing multiple symptoms at the sametime.(2)The symptom experience of maintenance hemodialysis patients was negatively correlated with psychological coherence;symptom experience was negatively correlated with subjective well-being;psychological coherence was positively correlated with subjective well-being.(3)The factors influencing the subjective well-being of maintenance hemodialysis patients were:symptom experience, sense of psychological consistency, per capita monthly household income, and marital status. |
