Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of Modified Feng Sui pellets combined with red and blue light in the treatment of hyper-inflammatory rosacea,to compare the emotional changes of patients before and after treatment, and to compare the difference in the impact of this disease on the emotions of male and female. Methods: 72 patients with rosacea meeting the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into two groups: the treatment group was treated with Modified Feng Sui pellets combined with red and blue light, and the control group was treated with Metronidazole gel combined with red and blue light. The signs and symptoms score of the patients were recorded before each patient’s treatment, and 2 weeks,4 weeks,6 weeks,8 weeks after the treatment(appendix 1).In addition, the existence of demodex was tested under microscopy. At the same time, the skin lesion was observed under dermatoscope, and the clinical curative effect observation form was completed(appendix 2).After the treatment, the patients were followed up for 3 months in order to record the relapse rate. The statistics were recorded and then analyzed using SPSS 26.0 system in order to draw the conclusion.Results:1.Comparison of curative effects between the two groupsTotal effective rate was compared between the two groups, the treatment group was84.37% and the control group was 67.74%,the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.Comparison of quantitative scores of the two groupsComparison of quantitative sign scores between the two groups before and after treatment showed that there was no statistically significant difference in quantitative sign scores before treatment,2 weeks and 4 weeks after the treatment(P>0.05),but there was statistically significant difference in quantitative sign scores after 6 weeks and 8 weeks of treatment(P <0.05).Within the two groups, the quantitative scores of signs decreased after every 2 weeks of treatment, with statistical significance difference(P<0.05).The results showed that both groups of patients were effective in improving the degree of skin lesions, but there was no significant difference in the efficacy after 2 and 4 weeks of treatment, and the improvement degree was more significant after 6 and 8 weeks of treatment, and the efficacy of the treatment group was significantly better than the control group.3.Comparison of symptom quantitative scores between the two groupsThere was no statistical significance in symptom quantification scores between the two groups before treatment,2,4,6 and 8 weeks after treatment(P>0.05).Within the two groups, the quantitative symptom scores of the two groups were significantly reduced after every 2 weeks of treatment, with statistical significance difference(P<0.05).The results indicated that both groups were effective in improving symptoms, but the degree of improvement was similar.4.Comparison of CES-D with epidemiological surveyCES-D scores after 8 weeks of treatment were compared between the two groups, and CES-D scores before and after 8 weeks of treatment were compared within the two groups, showing statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The results showed that patients in both groups improved their depressive symptoms after 8 weeks of treatment, and the improvement degree of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group. The CES-D scores of women and men in the two groups were respectively compared before and after 8 weeks of treatment,CES-D scores of the four groups before and after treatment were compared between the inter-group and intra-group,and there was statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The results showed that CES-D scores of all four groups decreased after 8 weeks of treatment, and women with rosacea had significantly higher CES-D scores than men, showing depressive symptoms.5.Comparison of adverse reactions between the two groupsAdverse reactions occurred in 1 patient of the treatment group, while no adverse reactions occurred in the others.6.Comparison of recurrence rates between the two groupsWithin 3 months of follow-up survey after treatment, the recurrence rate of 15% in the treatment group was significantly lower than that of 58.33% in the control group, and there was statistically significant difference in two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Modified Feng Sui pellets combined with red and blue light has a definite effect on the treatment of rosacea with deficiency fire and inflammation syndrome, which can significantly improve the relevant signs and symptoms of patients, and has significant advantages in reducing CES-D score and recurrence rate.2.Women with rosacea have significantly higher CES-D scores than men and have depressive symptoms.
