Research On Treatment Of Tinnitus By External Therapy Of Traditional Chinese Medicine Prior And During Qing Dynasty And Analysis Of The Tutor’s Thoughts In Treatment Of Tinnitus

Objective: To retrieve and sort out literatures related to treatment of tinnitus by external therapy of traditional Chinese medicine prior and during Qing dynasty and analyze the characteristics of acupoints and herbs clinical application in tinnitus treatment.Methods: Taking the Chinese medical code as the source of retrieval,retrieves the literature sorting,establish the database and analysis.Then analyzing the thoughts of treating tinnitus based on the tutor’s clinical experience in treating tinnitus.Results: 116 books were involved,among which 859 articles met the requirements,15 kinds of external therapies of traditional Chinese medicine,including 622 acupoint prescriptions,227 herb prescriptions and 10 manipulation method prescriptions.The acupoints were 72,the main meridians were the bile meridians,small intestine meridians and San-jiao meridians,mainly distributed in the Head facial.Five-shu point was the main specific acupoints.The most used points were Ermen,Tinghui,Shangguan,Shangyang,Zusanli.Commonly used compatibility were Zusanli with Diwuhui,Zusanli with Ermen,Ermen with Zusanli.206 kinds of Herbs were used,such as heat-clearing medicinal,exterior-releasing medicinal,and tonifying medicinal,mostly warm,with simba taste.The frequently used herbs were Rhizoma Acori Tatarinowii,Radix Aconiti,Fructus Crotonis,Herba Asari,rosin.Commonly used compatibility were Rhizoma Acori Tatarinowii with Fructus Crotonis,rosin,Pericarpium Zanthoxyli.Conclusion: Prior and during Qing dynasty,there have been many methods treating tinnitus by external therapy of traditional Chinese medicine.It has been verified the use of acupoints and herb is standardized and effective which can provide references for modern clinical treatment of tinnitus.
