| Cervical cancer is one of the most common malignancies in the world.About 310,000 women died from cervical cancer in 2018 alone,up to 86% of the cases were in low-and middle-income countries. As one of the countries with the greatest burden of cervical cancer,China is facing many difficulties in eliminating cervical cancer.Domestic women as a whole showed a low level of cervical cancer awareness and their HPV vaccination rate is far lower than developed countries. As one of the earliest HPV vaccine markets,Hong Kong’s female has a higher cervical cancer awareness and vaccination rate than the mainland. In the face of the mixed quality of "we media" information, the study of the authoritative media reports on cervical cancer in Hong Kong and mainland is of great significance to how to convey scientific and health knowledge to the public,as well as to improve the correct cognition and prevention awareness of cervical cancer among Chinese citizens. From the perspective of frame theory, this paper compares and studies the frame characteristics of authoritative media reports on cervical cancer in the two places.Through the content analysis method and text analysis method, this paper made a comparative analysis of cervical cancer reports between Hong Kong Wen Hui website and People’s Daily website from2006 to 2018.Multi-dimensional analysis from basic framework, health communication framework and text framework, and deeply analyzed the construction characteristics of the two networks’ reporting frameworks. The author hopes that through the research and analysis of cervical cancer reports on the two networks, the author can put forward feasible Suggestions and strategies for the healthy spread of cervical cancer in Chinese media. The results showed that there were significant differences in cervical cancer reports between the two networks. From the perspective of thebasic framework,,People’s Daily focuses on the popularization of cervical cancer health knowledge, while Wen Hui focuses more on the promotion and vaccination of vaccine, but both networks lack communication and interaction with the audience. From the perspective of thehealth communication framework, both People’s Daily and Hong Kong Wen Hui website use the fear appeal framework and loss and benefit framework in a relatively reasonable frequency, but there is no difference in the use of these frameworks. In terms of the use of the topic framework,People’s Daily focuses on the prevention framework, while Hong Kong Wen Hui focuses onthe social structure framework. From the perspective of text framework, the text of People’s Daily lacks the explanation of professional medical terms, while the text of Hong Kong Wen Hui website is more concise and understandable.Through the comparative analysis of the two networks, this paper puts forward some Suggestions for cervical cancer coverage in Chinese mainland media based on the advantages and disadvantages of the two networks.First,to enrich the health coverage of cervical cancer, the authoritative media are not only health communicators but also public supervisors.Second, strengthen the interaction with the audience, establish a convenient information communication channel, targeted dissemination of cervical cancer related knowledge;Thirdly, the difficulty of text reading should be reduced, and the health communication strategy should be rationally applied to expand the effect of health communication. |
