Objective: at present,the clinical research on the deviation of nasal septum mainly lies in the operation method of the deviation of nasal septum and the relationship between the deviation of nasal septum and chronic sinusitis.Few articles involve the relationship between the deviation of nasal septum and adjacent structures.The purpose of this study is to measure the height of nasal cavity between the deviation of nasal septum group and the non deviation of nasal septum,and compare the two,so as to evaluate the adult The relationship between the deviation of the nasal septum and the height of the nasal cavity,the relationship between the deviation of the nasal septum and the relative position of the hard palate and the bottom of the maxillary sinus,and the relationship between the deviation of the nasal septum and the height of the nasal cavity were discussed.Methods: from April 2018 to April 2020,96 adult patients with deviation of nasal septum and CT of paranasal sinuses who were treated in otolaryngology head and neck surgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University were selected as the group of deviation of nasal septum(group of deviation).During this period,adult patients with non deviation of nasal septum and CT of head and neck were selected from the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University 62 as the control group(non deflection group),the patients in deflection group and non deflection group measured the height of the nasal cavity,observed the relative position of the hard palate and the bottom of the maxillary sinus,and the patients in deflection group additionally measured the angle of the deviation of the nasal septum.Single sample t-test was used to compare the nasal height of the patients in the deflection group and the non deflection group;chi square test was used to analyze the relationship between the hard palate and the relative position of the maxillary sinus floor of the patients in the deflection group and the non deflection group;single factor ANOVA was used to compare the nasal height and the degree of deviation of the nasal septum of the patients in the deflection group.Results: there was a significant difference in the height of nasal cavity between the deflection group and the non deflection group(t =-2.200,P <0.050);the difference was statistically significant(P When the hard palate is higher than the level of the bottom of the maxillary sinus,the deviation of the nasal septum may occur.However,there was no correlation between the degree of deviation of nasal septum and the height of nasal cavity(P > 0.050).Conclusion: there is a correlation between the deviation of nasal septum and the height of nasal cavity in adults.By comparing the mean value,the height of nasal cavity in the group with deviation of nasal septum is lower than that in the group without deviation of nasal septum,that is to say,the low height of nasal cavity may lead to the occurrence of deviation of nasal septum.And when the hard palate is higher than the bottom of maxillary sinus,it may lead to deviation of nasal septum.But there was no correlation between the degree of nasal septum deviation and the height of nasal cavity. |
