ObjectiveIn this study,cranial CT of Han Adults in Liaoning Province was collected,then the facial soft tissue feature points were measured.The Euclidean distance matrix analysis(EDMA)was used to get the Euclidean distance between facial soft tissues,and the corresponding head-facial index was measured.Analyzed facial phenotypic features of Han adults in Liaoning by geometric morphometric,and compared the differences between the sexes.Methods100 adults of Han nationality in Liaoning Province were randomly selected,including 40 males and 60 females,craniofacial morphology was collected by CT and stored in DICOM format,imported the image into VG Studio 3.2max software for 3D reconstruction,marked the landmarks and collected the three-dimensional coordinates,and checked the three-dimensional coordinates to ensure the accuracy,then the corresponding head-facial index was obtained by Euclidean distance matrix analysis,analyzed the facial phenotype and compared the difference of facial index between men and women.Results1.The results of the Liaoning Han nationality adult head-facial index are as follows.Morphological facial index: 95.47±12.98 for males and 94.83±14.87 for females;Morphological upper facial index: 54.35±10.01 for males,female for 53.65±7.62;Zygomatic mandibular index: 101.55±10.20 for males and101.09±8.91 for females;Physiognomic upper facial index: 60.21±7.12 for males and 57.98±6.25 for females;Height-beradth index of nose: 72.43±11.93 for males and 70.07±13.54 for female;Beradth-depth index of nosel:49.15±9.77 for males and 45.18±8.29 for females;Lip index: 32.17±10.02 formales and 33.56±8.63 for females.2.Hyperleptoprosopy is the most important type in morphological facial index in Liaoning Han adults,19 males(47.5%)and 27 females(45%);the second is leptoprosopy,16(40%)males and 23(38.3%)females.Hyperlepten is the most important type in morphological upper facial index,21males(52.5%)and 33 females(55%);the second is lepten,11males(27.5%)and 18 females(30%).Mesorrhiny is the most common type in height-beradth index of nosel,21 males(52.5%)and 27 females(45%);the second type is leptorrhiny,11 males(27.5%)and 18 females(30%).3.The Euclidean distance of the height of the shape surface,the height of the shape surface,the height of the face surface,the width of the face,the width of the nose,the width of the mouth and the width of the mandible angle of the male is larger than that of the female,and the ratio of line segments in FM matrix is larger than 1.05(P=0.037).ConclusionsThe main type of morphological facial index of adult men and women of Han nationality in Liaoning Province is hyperleptoprosopy,the morphological upper facial index is mainly hyperlepten,the height-beradth index of nosel is mostly mesorrhiny.The overall facial contour of male is larger than that of female,which is mainly manifested in the Euclidean distances of the morphological facial height,the morphological upper facial height,the physiognomic upper facial height,the face breadth,the nose breadth,the mouth width and the bigonial width of the male are all larger than that of the female.
