A Research On "Xin Pi" Syndrome:Setting Up Bibliographic Database,Data Mining And The Clinical Intervention Of TCM Prescription To Treat Phlegm-stasis Type Of "Xin Pi" Syndrome

Objective:This thesis aims to sort out the research production and progress of "xin pi" syndrome by means of compiling its published documents and proved cases and establishing a database;use data mining techniques to conduct statistical processing of its main syndromes and commonly used drugs prescribed by prominent TCM doctors;choose one type of its main syndromes,make a self-designed prescription and herbal extract and evaluate the curati ve effect after clinical practice.Methods:1.Data mining and the establishment of databaseOne of the data sources are collected from published documents by taking"obstruction of qi in the chest","painful abdominal mass" and "herbal extract" as key words and using "AND" or "OR" as correlative and the other is collected from the proved cases treated by prominent.TCM doctors which are recorded as "obstructio of qi in the chest" or "painful abdominal mass"After the establishment of database,the author intends to use frequency statistics and Apriori algorithm to retrieve the most relevant syndromes and commonly used drugs of "xin pi" syndrome.2.Clinical intervention studiesThe selected 81 "xin pi" syndrome patients with phlegm-stasis syndrome are randomly distributed into 3 groups which are decoction group with 26 patients,herbal extract group with 27 patients and control group with 28 patients.Except the conventional western medicine treatment,decoction group patients are given decoction of "xin pi" No.1 prescription;herbal extract group patients are given herbal extract of "xin pi" No.1 prescription.The control group uses conventional western medicine treatment for 30 days without interruption.A therapy course consists of 15 days.After 30 days treatment,patients in three groups are observed based on the indicators of total clinical efficacy,TCM syndrome score,ecg efficacy and angina pectoris efficacy,etc.,which are compared with those recorded on the day of enrollment.Result:1.The author selected 300 proved cases of "xin pi" syndrome,including 93 cases of phlegm-stasis syndrome,71 cases of phlegm turbidity impatency syndrome,52 cases of qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome,47 cases of qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome,19 cases of qi and yin deficiency syndrome,18 cases of damp obstructing heart-yang syndrome.Then,medical herbs with the highest confidence coefficient prescribed for the above types of syndrome were calculated as pinellia ternata and poria cocos(66%)to phlegm-stasis syndrome,the combination with the highest confidence in turbidity blocking syndrome is trichosanthis trichosanthis(54%),salvia miltiorrhiza and astragalus(43%)to qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome,safflower and ligusticum wallichii(75%)to qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome,ophiopogonis and salvia miltiorrhiza(100%)to qi and yin deficiency syndrome,pinellia ternata and salvia miltiorrhiza(56%)to damp obstructing heart-yang syndrome.2.The clinical treatment results of "xin pi" No.1 prescription in curing phlegm-stasis syndrome showed that total effective rate is 90.00%.The total effective rate of herbal extract group is 93.33%.The total effective rate of control group is 80.00%.There is no statistic difference between decoction group and herbal extract group(P>0.167)while when each of these two groups are compared with the control group,the statistic difference is significant(P<0.025).Conclusion:The common syndromes of "xin pi" syndrome are phlegm-stasis syndrome,phlegm turbidity impatency syndrome,qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome,qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome,qi and yin deficiency syndrome and damp obstructing heart-yang syndrome.Medical herbs commonly used by prominent TCM doctors to cure the above syndromes of"xin pi" syndrome are as fol lows:pinel lia ternata and poria cocos to phlegm-stasis syndrome,salvia miltiorrhiza and ast ragalus to qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome,safflower and ligusticum wallichii to qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome,ophiopogonis and salvia miltiorrhiza to qi and yin deficiency syndrome,pinellia ternata and salvia miltiorrhiza to damp obstructing heart-yang syndrome.The "xin pi" No.1 prescription is effective in curing phlegm-stasis syndrome which is worthy of extending in clinic.
