Design Of Pill Dispensing System Based On The Expectation Dis-confirmation Theory

The aging of the population is considered to be one of the most fundamental characteristics of recent population trends,and the health of the elderly is paid more attention to due to their vulnerable immune system,consequently causing many chronic diseases.What’s worse,an unprecedented decrease in the average age of patients who are suffering from chronic diseases is witnessed.Thus,a long-term and regular treatment to cure their disease is urgent.Unfortunately,memory trouble disrupts daily pill taking of the elderly,and mid-aged people who are occupied with various errands also forget to take pills easily.In other words,most of the patients are struggling to take medicine on time every day,let alone regular examinations or other trivial details.Considering such a serious condition,I intend to design and develop a pill dispenser system.However,the complexity of the user experience research is that the user and the environment is not stable and unchanging,but in a dynamic change.User expectations are not only from others’ evaluation and media information,also affected by the users’ previous experience to a similar product.So to study changes in the time dimension of user experience,we must fully consider the dynamic nature of user expectations,taking the influence between user expectations and user experience into account.The expectation dis-confirmation theory explain that the user experience is based on user’s expectation.As the theory shows,the customers have had a pre-purchase expectation before buying the products.After using the products,the customers will compare the perceived performance with there-purchase expectation.If there is a positive dis-confirmation which means the perceived performance is better than re-purchase expectation,the customers will feel satisfied.Aiming to optimize users’ experience during the process of taking pills regularly,and taking the social,human and economic factors and proper existing solutions into account,my pill dispenser contains significant function which help the pharmacy serve the patients well.
