Object1. To design the scale for operating room service experience investigation.2. To investigate the expectation and experience of surgical patients onoperating room service and provide some evidence to develop the level ofmanagement and quality of nursing service.Methods1. Using homemade scale based on Schmitt strategic experience in theUnited States as the theoretical framework to design the questionnaire andassess the reliability and validity.2.200hospitalized surgical patients in third class A hospital in Neijiangwere enrolled in the operating room service expectation and experiencesurvey, and the results were analyzed.Results1. The total Cronbach’s coefficient of the scale was0.901, its fourdimensions coefficient was>0.7; Pearson correlation coefficient amongeach item score and the overall experience score was0.487~0.701. The scale has good reliability and validity, which can be used for surveyresearch.2. The results of the operating room service expectation and satisfactionsurvey were as follows: Scores of feel experience (3.86±0.50) and thinkingexperience (3.86±0.52) were high, which showed that demand for spiritualservice become the dominant need; The total level of surgical patientssatisfaction was high, which is in accord with the result of operating roomsatisfaction survey in the same period (Pearson correlation analysis showedr=0.652, p <0.01).Conclusions1. The questionnaire has well reliability and validity, which can be used toinvestigate the service experience survey of operating room patients.2. The main need of operating room patients is spiritual demand.
